Vietnam team ranked 95th

The FIFA rankings are based on the performance of national teams in matches and tournaments recognized by the World Football Federation. The number of points for each team is calculated using the elo formula, depending on the match results, the importance of the match and the difference in ranking with the opponent.

The position of football teams on the FIFA rankings is important when seeding international tournaments at the continental and world confederation levels.

As of June 2023, Argentina is at the top of the FIFA rankings. Vietnam is ranked 95th in the world, 16th in Asia and first in Southeast Asia.
