According to the police, in 2018, Binh and Nguyet used 11 fake red books as collateral and signed fake contracts to appropriate a total of more than 19.7 billion VND from a number of people.
Receiving the crime denunciation, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police Department investigated and then decided to initiate a criminal case. On September 12, 2023, they prosecuted the accused and executed an arrest warrant to detain Binh and Nguyet to investigate and clarify the acts of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and "Using fake documents of agencies and organizations".
Because Binh and his wife had fled, the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department issued a wanted notice. On January 14, 2024, the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department arrested Binh and Nguyet while they were hiding in Da Lat City ( Lam Dong ).
