Taiwan's weather agency reported that two earthquakes, the strongest measuring 6.1 magnitude, struck Hualien County in eastern Taiwan in the early morning of April 27, and there were no reports of damage.
The earthquakes, occurring approximately 30 minutes apart, shook buildings in Taipei.
The agency also stated that the first earthquake had a focal depth of 24.9 km and occurred just off the coast of Hualien, while the second earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8 and a focal depth of 18.9 km, also in the same area.
