Dong Giang under pressure to disburse 270 billion VND of capital for national target programs

According to the report of Dong Giang District People's Committee, the total capital of national target programs including sustainable poverty reduction, socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and new rural areas allocated as of May 31 was 238.7 billion VND/325.1 billion VND, reaching 73.4%. The total disbursed capital was 56.8 billion VND/238.7 billion VND, reaching 23.7%.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan affirmed that the capital that Dong Giang district needs to disburse from previous years and the capital in 2025 is still too large, up to 270 billion VND, so the pressure to disburse and require high determination. Now that the district-level activities are about to end, the district is required to transfer capital to communes with needs and capabilities, so that when a new commune is established, the old commune will transfer capital to the new commune for implementation.

All remaining tasks of Dong Giang, from approving settlement documents for completed projects, selecting contractors for new projects, allocating remaining funds to communes, and returning any funds that are not implemented to the province... The district People's Committee must complete all procedures and finish by June 15. The remaining tasks then require the old communes to continue handing over to the new communes for continued implementation.

Regarding the responsibility of leaders and officials in implementing national target programs, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan requested Dong Giang district to review all work, and stop appointing and assigning work to any officials lacking a sense of responsibility in the near future.
