Dong Giang faces pressure to disburse 270 billion VND of capital from national target programs.

According to a report by the People's Committee of Dong Giang district, the total capital allocated to national target programs including sustainable poverty reduction, socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and new rural development as of May 31st was VND 238.7 billion out of VND 325.1 billion, reaching 73.4%. The total disbursed capital was VND 56.8 billion out of VND 238.7 billion, reaching 23.7%.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan affirmed that the remaining capital for disbursement in Dong Giang district from previous years and the capital for 2025 is still very large, up to 270 billion VND, thus creating pressure to disburse and requiring high determination. Now that the district-level activities are about to end, he requested the district to allocate capital to communes with needs and capabilities, so that when new communes are established, the old communes can transfer the capital to the new communes for implementation.

All remaining tasks in Dong Giang, from approving final settlement documents for completed projects, selecting contractors for new projects, allocating remaining funds to communes, and returning any unspent funds to the province... the District People's Committee must complete all procedures by June 15th. After that, the former communes will be required to hand over the remaining tasks to the new communes for continued implementation.

Regarding the responsibilities of leaders and officials in implementing national target programs, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan requested Dong Giang district to review all tasks, and any official lacking a sense of responsibility should have their appointment or assignment of work suspended in the near future.
