Following the directives of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Dong Hoi Ward, the Ward's Public Service Management Board has implemented many tasks focusing on preparing for the 2026 summer tourism season, aiming for the satisfaction of residents and tourists staying in the area.

“In particular, to create a suitable environment for recreational activities, swimming, and business services on the beaches, the unit has leveled the sand at Nhat Le and Bao Ninh beaches; carried out general environmental sanitation, sifting and cleaning the sand; reinstalled public football fields for people to practice sports ; and renovated public restrooms, creating a harmonious, clean, and beautiful appearance. Regarding accompanying services, the unit has guided business owners to renovate their facilities, conduct general environmental sanitation in their business areas, and especially, all businesses must display price lists to ensure they provide complete and accurate information as required by regulations…”, said Tran Duy Khanh, Director of the Dong Hoi Ward Public Service Management Board.

Surveys show that the majority of tourists visiting Dong Hoi and using local services have a very positive impression of the services provided and wish to return for more leisure, relaxation, and experiences. The most impressive and enjoyable destination for tourists is the scenery at Ho Chi Minh Square. In addition, just a short distance away, tourists can reach Nhat Le and Bao Ninh beaches, which are considered to have some of the best services in the country.

Another impressive aspect for tourists is shopping at the traditional Dong Hoi market. It boasts a convenient location, with entertainment areas, sea views, and shopping relatively close together. The fresh seafood at Dong Hoi market is particularly unmatched elsewhere, and the prices are reasonable. Furthermore, vendors display prices and sell at the listed prices, ensuring the origin of goods and food safety.

Comrade Phan Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dong Hoi Ward, said that with its potential and advantages, the ward's leadership has directed relevant departments and units in the area, as well as individuals in charge of specific fields, to uphold their responsibilities and strive to continue improving and investing in infrastructure, paying attention to check-in points on the beaches, creating highlights and new spaces; guiding business households to upgrade kiosks, ensuring environmental hygiene, improving service quality, and being ready to serve the tourist season and major events of the province, including the Quang Tri Provincial Culture and Tourism Week in 2026.

In the first three months of 2026, Dong Hoi ward welcomed nearly 390,000 visitors. The accommodation and tourism service system continued to be invested in with 163 establishments, including 86 hotels and 77 guesthouses and homestays, basically meeting the needs of tourists for sightseeing and relaxation.

“To ensure the safety and hygiene of tourists visiting Dong Hoi, especially those using services on the beaches of Nhat Le and Bao Ninh, the Dong Hoi Ward General Service Center has proactively implemented many measures, such as: Strengthening propaganda, warnings, and prevention of drowning accidents; preparing conditions to ensure safe swimming, including: constructing and installing fences, warning signs, and directional signs, as well as swimming regulations, and demarcating safe water areas. Particular attention is paid to rescue operations with personnel and equipment ready to respond promptly to any arising situations,” said Dang Ngoc Hung, Director of the Dong Hoi Ward General Service Center.

“Recognizing the crucial role of preparation, the departments and units in the area are coordinating closely to ensure good conditions regarding culture, festivals, and accommodation; maintaining security and order, and food safety; focusing on diversifying tourism products, services, and cuisine, contributing to building Dong Hoi into a safe and attractive destination for tourists,” emphasized Phan Manh Hung, Secretary of the Dong Hoi Ward Party Committee.
