At the age of 11, while many of her peers were still living in the loving embrace of their parents, Voong Thi Luyen, a Dao ethnic girl from Yen Son village, Quang Tan commune, had to face great losses. Her mother passed away when she was young, and in 2025, her father also died, leaving her an orphan. Currently, Luyen lives with her uncle. Their lives depend mainly on agricultural production, so they face many difficulties and hardships. Understanding her special circumstances, organizations, individuals, and kind-hearted people have joined hands to help, providing her with the support she needs to continue her education.
At the end of 2025, through the connection of the Provincial Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans, Voong Thi Luyen was sponsored by Tam Duc Cam Pha Joint Stock Company with an annual support of 12 million VND until she reaches the age of 18.

Ms. Pham Thi Cuc, General Director of Tam Duc Cam Pha Joint Stock Company, said: "In addition to providing financial support, the company also regularly visits, encourages, and donates books, clothes, and essential items for studying and living. Through this, we hope to contribute to instilling confidence and strength in the child to overcome difficulties and move forward in life."
With the motto "No child left behind," the province has mobilized the entire political system and the community in caring for and protecting children over the years. In particular, many programs supporting disadvantaged children have been implemented effectively, carrying profound humanitarian significance. A prime example is the "Helping Children Go to School - Children Adopted by Border Guard Posts" model, maintained by the Provincial Border Guard since 2016. Through this program, over 100 students from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds have been supported to continue their education with a total budget of over 4 billion VND.
In addition, the "Godmother" program launched by the Provincial Women's Union has connected with and sponsored hundreds of orphans and children in difficult circumstances, with a total support budget of over 5 billion VND. Particularly, since 2024, the province has implemented the "Campaign to sponsor children in difficult circumstances and those who have lost their source of support" using socialized resources. Through this movement, more than 450 children in the province have been sponsored by agencies, organizations, and individuals, with a total support budget reaching tens of billions of VND.

This support not only provides material assistance but also serves as a great source of moral encouragement, motivating the children to study, train, and grow with peace of mind. Many children from disadvantaged backgrounds, after receiving support, have strived to excel, achieving good academic results and integrating positively into the community.
Currently, the province has nearly 365,000 children under 16 years old, of which more than 4,200 are in special circumstances and over 4,500 are at risk of falling into special circumstances. This is a group that needs continued attention and support from families, schools, and society.
In response to the 2026 Action Month for Children, many meaningful activities are being implemented throughout the province to raise community awareness about the protection, care, and education of children, while continuing to mobilize social resources to care for disadvantaged children.
The highlight of this year's program is activities aimed at equipping children with knowledge on safe social media use, drowning prevention, violence prevention, child abuse prevention, and other social evils, helping them acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to protect themselves and become more confident in life.
Every act of sharing and kindness for disadvantaged children contributes to kindling hope and opening up new opportunities for them. The collective efforts of society as a whole are a solid foundation, helping vulnerable children overcome adversity, develop comprehensively, and look towards a brighter future.
