Motivation from emulation in Brigade 962

Visiting Brigade 962 (Military Region 9) in late July, we were captivated by the vibrant competitive spirit of the officers and soldiers throughout the unit. On the training grounds of the units belonging to Battalion 1 and Battalion 2, the bright colors of banners, flags, and slogans further enlivened the atmosphere of the drill and formation training. The beads of sweat rolling down the faces of the young soldiers were proof of the troops' determination in the peak emulation campaign "Raising the Red Flag of August - Competing for 3 Best Achievements".

Immediately after launching the emulation campaign, agencies and units concretized the contents of the campaign with many rich and practical activities closely related to the functions and tasks of the units, such as: Strengthening propaganda and education work with the theme "The immortal spirit of the August Revolution and National Day 2-9"; organizing well-conducted seminars, traditional talks, cultural and artistic activities, and sports activities to serve the troops and people in the area. In addition, agencies and units fully and effectively participated in competitions; deployed officers and soldiers to watch radio and television programs on the themes of the August Revolution and National Day 2-9 such as: the program "A mighty army, a strong nation"; music for soldiers "A triumphant autumn"; live television broadcast of political and artistic commentary "Under the glorious flag"; exchange and discussion "Stars of independence" and "80 autumns of independence - From aspiration to reality"...

Colonel Le Thanh Nha, Political Commissar of Brigade 962, stated: During the "Raising the Red Flag of August - Striving for Three Best Achievements" emulation campaign, the Brigade's Party Committee and command focused on educating and raising awareness among officers and soldiers about the great significance and historical value of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd; the decisive role of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland... This encouraged and motivated officers and soldiers to continue upholding the patriotic tradition and national pride, to continue contributing their strength and intellect, and to strive to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to the strong development of the country in the new era.

During the peak emulation campaign, the Brigade's youth union members also intensified propaganda and education among their members about the history and traditions of the nation and the Army; fostering patriotism and disseminating valuable lessons learned in building a national defense system and developing the people's armed forces. Through this, the youth union members demonstrated their role and responsibility as young people and actively participated in building practical projects and tasks.

Proud of the unit's glorious tradition, Sergeant Nguyen Tuan Kiet, a gunner on ship 18-21-05, Company 3, Battalion 2, Brigade 962, confided: "It is an honor to study and work at the heroic Brigade 962. I always strive to complete my assigned tasks to the best of my ability and actively help my comrades complete their missions, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit."

Speaking with us, Major Vang Cong Minh Hoang, Deputy Political Officer of Battalion 2, Brigade 962, shared: “I constantly study, train, and improve my skills and abilities to do well in all aspects of educating and managing troops, inspiring the motivation and enthusiasm of young people in their studies, work, and contributions to the Army and the unit.”
