Dong Thap focuses on preparing to organize the 1st Provincial Party Congress

On the afternoon of September 24, Dong Thap province held a press conference to inform about many important issues of the province in the past time and tasks in the coming time, especially the preparation work for the 1st Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Dong Thap provincial leaders informed about some preparations for the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Speaking at the press conference, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Pham The Vinh informed: The 1st Congress of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030 took place in 2 days, September 30 and October 1 at Dong Thap Provincial Conference Center.

This is a major local event, of historical significance after the merger of Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces into Dong Thap province, opening a new development path, with stature, aspirations and noble mission. The Congress focuses on 3 main contents, without implementing the election process in the Congress, especially without using paper documents.

The theme of this congress is: “Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promoting innovation, rapidly developing industry, building a modern and ecological agriculture, improving the quality of life of the people; firmly ensuring national defense and security”. Motto of action: “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough/Development”.

The Congress identified the principle: "Comprehensive - focused - connected - breakthrough and sustainable development" in implementing tasks and solutions in all fields and localities.

The general goal is to build a clean and strong Party organization and political system; promote the strength of national solidarity, arouse the people's aspirations for development and will for self-reliance.

By 2030, Dong Thap strives to become a province with rapidly developing industry, a pioneer in building ecological agriculture, modern countryside, civilized farmers, among the top developing localities in the Mekong Delta region, with improved people's lives, cultural and social progress; national defense and security guaranteed.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, spoke at the press conference.

By 2045, Dong Thap province will become a modern agricultural and eco-tourism center of the Mekong Delta, a leading locality in the country in a number of fields such as agriculture, advanced industrial development, a livable place, where people have a prosperous and happy life.

In addition, the leaders of departments and branches of Dong Thap province also approved the regulations on professional activities of press reporters at the Congress; provided information on the situation, policies; key activities of the leaders and the People's Committee of Dong Thap province in September 2025; provided information on the situation of order and society; human rights work and press issues that need to focus on propaganda, information on the plan to organize the Red Lotus Land Marathon/Dong Thap in 2025; discussed and proposed press activities, requested information and related content; evaluated and oriented information and propaganda in the coming time in Dong Thap province.
