Consensus to donate land for road construction

These days, in Cac Son commune, an atmosphere of consensus is spreading throughout the villages as people voluntarily donate land and dismantle structures to expand the road from Anh Son Health Station to Phuong Ang village. Without hesitation, the people here see donating land for the road as a responsibility and a joy in contributing to building a more prosperous and modern homeland.

The plan to upgrade and expand the rural road from Anh Son Health Station to Phuong Ang village is not just a simple infrastructure project, but also a "test" of the solidarity and community spirit of the local people. And reality has proven that when "the Party's will aligns with the people's will," all difficulties can be overcome.

From the moment the policy and implementation plan were publicized, the people of Cac Son commune quickly grasped it and showed high levels of consensus. Notably, the majority of affected households voluntarily donated land, dismantled structures, and did not request compensation or assistance.

The family of Ms. Le Thi Dung and Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc, residing in Xuan Thang village, is one of the exemplary households. Despite the nearly 50-meter stretch of land affected, meaning many aspects of the project had to be adjusted, the family happily accepted the changes. Ms. Dung shared: “A beautiful road makes a beautiful house. Building the road serves the entire village and commune; we may lose a little, but we will benefit in the long run. The government taking the initiative is the best thing, and we hope it will be completed as soon as possible.”

As for the family of Mr. Bui Sy Thu, also in Xuan Thang village, they donated a plot of land measuring 52 meters in length. Mr. Thu said: “The authorities met with us and explained things very clearly, so we understood and agreed wholeheartedly. Watching TV, we saw many places where rural roads were widened, cleaned, and beautiful, so we hoped our village could be like that too.”

The stories shared by the people of Xuan Thang village are vivid evidence of the transformation from awareness to action. From waiting for and depending on support, the people have proactively and voluntarily contributed their labor and resources to building infrastructure, viewing it as both their responsibility and their right.

Not just a few exemplary cases, the movement of donating land for road construction in Cac Son commune has spread strongly to many households. Notable examples include the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy (Xuan Thang village) who donated 92.6m2 of land; the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (Xuan Thang village) who donated 70.8m2; and the family of Ms. Luong Thi Tiep (Kieu village) who donated 60.1m2... These concrete actions have contributed to a strong ripple effect, strengthening trust and consensus among the people, helping the local road expansion plan quickly become a reality.

When "the Party's will aligns with the people's will"

Immediately after the project was announced, the People's Committee of Cac Son commune coordinated with various departments, agencies, and organizations to hold numerous public meetings and direct dialogues with individual households. The dissemination of information was intensified, helping people understand the purpose, significance, and long-term benefits of the project. Importantly, the authorities did not impose their views but listened to the people's opinions, thoroughly addressing their concerns, thereby building trust.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cac Son commune, said: "Right from the start of the project, the locality identified public relations as a key factor. Therefore, the commune mobilized the entire political system, from village officials and mass organizations to influential people in the community, to disseminate information and encourage participation. We determined that we had to make people understand that this is a project for the common good, serving their own lives. When people understand, they will voluntarily participate. And in reality, 100% of the affected households have signed commitments to donate land and hand over the site."

The project to upgrade and expand the road from Anh Son Health Station to Phuong Ang village not only improves transportation infrastructure but also opens up many opportunities for socio -economic development in the locality. Once completed, the road will make travel more convenient for residents, facilitate the flow of goods, and contribute to improving living standards. More importantly, the project's implementation has fostered and spread a spirit of solidarity and community awareness among the people. This forms a solid foundation for Anh Son to continue successfully achieving its development goals in the future.
