Don't stop at the pride of the past.
Although research and writings about Quang Nam province have not yet fully reflected its special position in the southward expansion of the country, what it already possesses—its archaeological sites, its four UNESCO-recognized tangible and intangible heritage sites; and especially the names of its prominent and famous figures—representing the very essence of its culture—has transcended the boundaries of a single region to enter the history of the entire nation. These assets represent a valuable potential and capital that today's generation can be proud of.
However, a glorious past cannot replace the efforts that future generations must make to ensure Da Nang possesses a cultural strength that continues to leave its mark in modern times. Especially after the merger of the two localities, with its vast geographical space, strong potential, achievements, and depth of cultural and historical traditions...
In fact, over the years, both Quang Nam and Da Nang have demonstrated their cultural strength through many major cultural movements and campaigns; numerous culturally significant public works projects have been built; many cultural events of national and regional significance have been successfully organized; and many unique cultural and tourism "brands" have been developed, making visitors feel excited and curious, recognizing them as worthwhile destinations to visit and admire.
However, in order to truly implement the spirit of Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW of the Politburo, which continues to implement Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW on building and developing Da Nang city until 2030, with a vision to 2045, emphasizing that "the city needs to pay attention to investing in the comprehensive development of culture and people, on par with economic development," the city needs more decisive and systematic breakthrough policies.

Specific criteria for evaluating and building cultural strength.
Based on the objectives outlined in the Party's resolutions on culture, most recently Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW, and in the new context with many advantages and ample "room" for development, I would like to contribute some specific criteria for evaluating – and striving to achieve – the building of cultural strength in Da Nang city with the following factors:
First, we must build a healthy humanistic cultural environment, a community of residents with standard thoughts, morals, and lifestyles that are in line with traditional ethics and customs, and compatible with modern, open exchanges on a national and international scale.
Furthermore, building a healthy, widespread, and high-quality mass cultural movement that operates regularly and motivates all segments of the population requires a complete, modern, and effective system of cultural institutions that operate regularly.
The area should have large, reputable businesses specializing in cultural products; forming a cultural industry, creating local cultural brands, and contributing to the development of a vibrant cultural market.
Ultimately, it is essential to gather and nurture a team of cultural talents and encourage the creation of outstanding and impactful works of literature and art.
Looking back at the five points above, it's clear that the city has implemented and achieved some noteworthy results. However, for Da Nang to have a solid and strong cultural foundation, much work remains to be done.
Regarding the moral values and lifestyle of the people of Da Nang, there have been many positive assessments. However, to truly achieve a "civilized and cultured urban lifestyle," one that both preserves traditional identity and integrates it with the modern thinking of an "open" developing city to meet new demands, a great deal of effort is still needed. Nevertheless, we have reason to believe that, with its long-standing cultural and historical revolutionary traditions, this is a key factor in successfully identifying the cultural strength of Quang Nam province.

A new path of development
Currently, with a population of over 3 million people living on an area of nearly 12,000 km2, of which the urban population accounts for about 87.2% and the rural population accounts for 12.8%, each community (mountainous, coastal, urban) has its own unique cultural identity. If we promote the positive aspects and limit the backward aspects, we will have a culturally rich community in a "cultural region" with rich cultural and tourism resources, which in turn will contribute to economic growth.
One economic researcher once remarked that the human spirit of Da Nang has deeply permeated the economic sphere, creating a synergistic force that has propelled the city to become a model of development and a leading destination. This is a very thought-provoking and noteworthy observation.
One goal that the city must strive for is to have renowned cultural industries, to invest wholeheartedly in the cultural sector, and to establish a stable cultural market. Only then can we talk about establishing a truly substantial local cultural industry. Currently, this remains an "unknown quantity."
In particular, the criterion of possessing cultural talent and literary and artistic works of outstanding value and renown is an extremely difficult requirement, demanding time and effort from the artists and investment from the leadership. We have had artists and writers who have achieved many prestigious titles, but most belong to the generation of writers and artists who lived through the war. The issue is that we need new talents, young faces representing the new generation of Da Nang people.
More than 50 years have passed since the historic March of 1975. Ahead of us lies another 50 years of development, including two important milestones: 2030, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, and 2045, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the nation. With its already recognized economic strength, Da Nang will certainly build a substantial and robust cultural foundation, befitting a dynamically developing city that is attracting nationwide attention.
