On the afternoon of January 30th (the second day of Tet), thousands of vehicles carrying tourists flocked to many tourist destinations in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The number of visitors was particularly high at spiritual sites.
Thuy Van Street has started to become crowded with vehicles.
From the first day of the Lunar New Year, the beaches in Vung Tau have become bustling. Tourists from all over flock here to enjoy the fresh sea air, have fun, swim, and participate in New Year's festivities.
According to a report from Vung Tau City, from January 27th to 30th (December 28th of the lunar calendar to the 2nd day of Tet), approximately 40,800 visitors came to swim at the beach. On January 30th alone (the 2nd day of Tet), about 36,000 visitors came to swim.
Many families travel by motorbike from neighboring provinces and cities to Vung Tau to celebrate the Lunar New Year and enjoy the beach.
Although the number of visitors is lower at this time compared to the same period last year, it is expected to continue to increase in the coming days. Local authorities and residents are making efforts to ensure security and order, environmental hygiene, and provide the best services for tourists.
Specifically, the water rescue force has assigned 100% of its personnel to be on duty at tourist areas and public beaches such as Bai Sau, Bai Truoc, Bai Dua, Bai Vong Nguyet, Bai Chi Linh, etc.
The Vung Tau Spring Flower Festival attracts a large number of tourists and locals who come to take photos.
The Vung Tau City Police and the People's Committees of the wards regularly patrol and set up checkpoints to ensure security, order, environmental hygiene, urban order, and traffic safety in tourist areas, attractions, and coastal roads with high concentrations of tourists.
Authorities also coordinated patrols and conducted awareness campaigns to encourage tourists not to eat or drink in public places or bring food and alcoholic beverages to the beach; they reminded and dispersed tourists who were eating or drinking on the beach.
