Binh Dinh tourism seizes new opportunities.

With the aim of making tourism a key economic sector, Binh Dinh province is exploiting its potential and advantages, organizing many major events to promote and stimulate tourism development.

Adding more appeal to tourism in the land of martial arts .

The main tourism product of Binh Dinh province is its beaches and islands, which are very attractive to tourists. Many coastal villages in Binh Dinh, such as Nhon Ly, Nhon Hai, Bai Xep (Quy Nhon City), Trung Luong (Phu Cat), Hoai Hai (Hoai Nhon Town)... develop tourism associated with preserving historical and cultural values, creating unique features that attract tourists.

In 2024, Nhon Hai commune welcomed over 100,000 visitors, an increase of more than 15,000 compared to 2023; in the first three months of this year alone, it welcomed over 15,000 visitors, an increase of more than 5,000 compared to the same period last year. Besides exploiting the value of local culture to develop community tourism, the commune also created new tourism products, such as: organizing annual tourism festivals, checking in at the ancient citadel on the sea, scuba diving to admire the seaweed fields...

Mr. Do Cao Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhon Hai commune, said: "The number of visitors to Nhon Hai is increasing every year. Along with exploiting existing tourism products, the locality is creating new products, with real-life experiences of fishermen's lives, listening to stories about protecting sea turtles, stories about whales (the god of the South Sea)... Hopefully, each tourism product with a story will create more attraction for tourists to come to Nhon Hai."

Besides beach and island tourism, many nature exploration tourism models, connecting tours and routes from the sea to the forests, exploring the highlands of Vinh Son, Ta Ma stream in Vinh Hiep commune (Vinh Thanh district), An Toan highlands (An Lao district), La Vuong plateau (Hoai Nhon town)... are gradually forming to meet the needs of tourists.

Visiting Binh Dinh for the first time, Mr. Vo Van Phuong (from Ho Chi Minh City) was clearly delighted to explore many places such as Ky Co, Eo Gió, Hon Kho, Ta Ma stream, Quang Trung Museum, etc. Mr. Phuong shared: “I researched Binh Dinh destinations online and found them appealing, but experiencing them firsthand made them even more attractive. What impressed me most is that Binh Dinh's tourism is developing but still retains its pristine, peaceful charm, and especially the people of Binh Dinh are very kind and hospitable. The safe, friendly, and civilized tourism environment is a big plus that keeps me and many other tourists coming back.”

For the first time, the mountainous district of Vĩnh Thạnh organized the 2025 Peach Blossom Festival with the theme "Spring Colors of Peach Blossoms - Connecting Culture" in Vĩnh Sơn commune and the 2025 Ta Má Stream Ixora Flower Viewing Festival with the theme "Fragrance and Beauty of Ixora Flowers - Blending Culture and Nature" in Vĩnh Hiệp commune, attracting more than 200,000 visitors and generating an estimated tourism revenue of over 40 billion VND.

Mr. Huynh Duc Bao, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh District, said: "Through the organized cultural and tourism events, we have created a boost to promote the image of Vinh Thanh's land and people, aiming to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the Bana K'riem ethnic group, and exploit the potential for local tourism development. Through these events, the district also attracts tourism investment, contributing to economic development and improving the lives of the people."

Having received the ASEAN Clean Tourism City title for the second time, Quy Nhon City continues to aim to maintain the title and strongly promote Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh tourism internationally.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuong Nam, Vice Chairman of the Quy Nhon City People's Committee, along with urban infrastructure renovation and upgrading, the city is planning to develop nighttime services in Nhon Hai, Nhon Ly, and Nhon Chau beaches; implementing the Quy Nhon pedestrian street project, the Galina Quy Nhon Beach Park entertainment service project, relocating the Quy Nhon night market on Le Duan Street to a new area and upgrading it to serve tourism professionally…

Cultural tourism products in the "land of martial arts, land of literature" are not only being developed by the province in conjunction with the preservation of cultural heritage values, but are also attracting tourism businesses to invest in their exploitation.

Ms. Nhữ Thị Ngần, General Director of Hanoi Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company, said: “We are coordinating with Tuy Phuoc district to develop cultural tourism products, including a tour specializing in traditional Vietnamese opera (Hát Bội), expected to launch in May 2025. With this tour, we will both honor the art of Hát Bội through Hát Bội performances in Binh Dinh province and exploit this art form to create new experiences for tourists, especially young people.”

In 2025, Binh Dinh province aims to welcome 10 million tourists, achieving a revenue of 26,000 billion VND, contributing to the implementation of Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU dated May 14, 2021, of the Provincial Party Committee on developing tourism in Binh Dinh into a key economic sector in the 2020-2025 period. To develop tourism in line with the local potential and advantages, and to place the province's tourism sector among the strongest growth sectors in Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated: “We will continue to coordinate with relevant sectors and localities to organize many large-scale cultural, tourism, and sports events; develop railway tourism products; and create other tourism products such as: MICE tourism (tourism combined with conferences); beach and lagoon tourism; cultural, ecological, community and craft village tourism; sports and events; and scientific exploration. We will also continue to improve the quality of human resources and infrastructure.” "Infrastructure, tourism services; digital transformation, promotion and marketing, tourism development linkages, environmental protection in tourism…".
