Binh Dinh's tourism sector earned 305 billion VND during the April 30th holiday.

On May 1st, the Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province released a report on the tourism situation before, during, and after the April 30th - May 1st holiday in 2024.

Accordingly, the weather during the 5-day April 30th - May 1st holiday this year was very hot, so many tourists from provinces and cities across the country chose Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh as an ideal destination to cool off. Therefore, the total number of tourists visiting Binh Dinh was higher than last year, reaching over 277,185 visitors, an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2023 (the April 30th - May 1st holiday in 2023 saw 249,700 visitors), with total revenue reaching 305 billion VND, an 18.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023 (2023 revenue was 257.2 billion VND).

According to the Binh Dinh Provincial Department of Tourism, the total number of registered guests at tourist accommodation establishments reached 94,185, an increase of 15% compared to the same period in 2023. The occupancy rate at tourist accommodation establishments from April 28th to May 1st was estimated at around 70-75%. Most large, 3- to 5-star coastal tourist accommodation establishments achieved an occupancy rate of 95% during the April 28th-29th holiday.

From April 27th to May 1st, 70 flights (14 flights/day) brought 14,000 passengers to Binh Dinh by air. From April 26th to May 3rd, Dieu Tri Airport received 1,200 passengers each day (expected to receive 9,600 passengers).

According to Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Director of the Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, during this year's April 30th - May 1st holiday, tourism businesses and individuals in the area have done a good job of preparing and ensuring safe conditions regarding transportation, infrastructure connecting to tourist attractions, and parking and vehicle storage facilities for tourists traveling by road and waterway.

Tourist accommodations and attractions throughout the province have proactively deployed sufficient staff to serve guests 24/7. They have prepared the necessary facilities and conditions to ensure convenience and absolute safety for guests in terms of security, order, and food safety. They strictly adhere to regulations regarding the public display of prices and selling at the listed prices.
