With favorable weather and attractive destinations, Binh Thuan province has welcomed a large number of tourists during the New Year holiday, coming to relax, sightsee, have fun, and experience cultural, sports, and tourism activities.
According to surveys at various destinations and statistics, during the 3-day New Year's holiday in 2024, the Bau Trang eco- tourism site welcomed approximately 4,400 visitors, the Cam Binh - La Gi tourist area received over 1,000 visitors, and Doi Duong Park - Phan Thiet averaged over 3,000 visitors per day… Notably, the city center of Phan Thiet saw a large influx of tourists visiting and enjoying the New Year's art performances and fireworks display. For the Ham Tien - Mui Ne and Tien Thanh - Ham Thuan Nam areas, in addition to international tourists, the number of domestic tourists increased slightly, mainly in groups of friends and families...
Vibrant and unique cultural and sporting activities organized by the local authorities, businesses, resorts, and tourist attractions, along with the image of a safe, friendly, and attractive destination, are positive points that make Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan a popular choice for New Year's holidays. The province and the tourism industry consistently provide timely and effective guidance and direction, from environmental sanitation, security and order at destinations to product quality, service prices, and information support for tourists, all of which are continuously and effectively maintained.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the number of visitors and overnight stays during this year's New Year holiday is estimated at around 105,000.
On average, tourist accommodations achieved 60-65% occupancy, concentrated in 4-5 star establishments and equivalent, with the peak date being December 31st. A large number of tourists were concentrated in the Ham Tien, Mui Ne, and Tien Thanh areas. Tourism revenue is estimated at approximately 230 billion VND. Room rates remained relatively stable, and service prices (entrance fees, seating, and freshwater showers, etc.) did not fluctuate significantly, except for seafood prices which varied depending on the time of year.
