Of these, international tourists reached 7.09 million, domestic tourists reached 23.84 million. The high increase in tourist numbers led to total revenue from tourism reaching 120.6 trillion VND, an increase of 20.7% compared to the same period in 2024.

The average occupancy rate of hotels in the capital city reached 73.4%, clearly reflecting the resurgence of the accommodation sector. Currently, Hanoi has 3,761 accommodation establishments with over 71,000 rooms, including 85 hotels rated from 1 to 5 stars, contributing to raising the quality of service and meeting the diverse needs of tourists. The standardized service system, comprising 58 establishments offering food, shopping, entertainment, and healthcare, is continuously improving, helping tourists have a more complete experience when visiting Hanoi.

Building on past successes, in December 2025, Hanoi's tourism sector will implement numerous large-scale promotional and marketing activities. The Hanoi Department of Tourism plans to organize many activities to stimulate demand and attract more tourists, such as the Hanoi Traditional Craft Village and Street Food and Tourism Festival 2025; coordinating with the People's Committees of communes to develop tourism products: agricultural and rural tourism products; night tourism products; golf tourism products; and community tourism products linked to experiencing the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities. A proposal for reforming the organizational model, management methods, preservation, and promotion of the value of the Huong Son complex (Huong Pagoda), a special national historical and scenic site, will be submitted to the Hanoi People's Committee for consideration and approval.

In 2025, Hanoi aims to welcome 31 million tourists, including 7.5 million international visitors, accounting for more than 30% of the total target number of international visitors to Vietnam (25 million). The projected revenue is 130,000 billion VND.
