
According to the forecast of the industry and trade sector, people's purchasing power at the end of 2025 and the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 will increase by 10-15% compared to normal; prices of essential goods are likely to increase by 5-10%. Based on the forecast and the actual commodity market situation, the Department of Industry and Trade has implemented a review and requested production units to increase capacity to ensure adequate supply of goods; businesses and distributors proactively develop plans to import and reserve essential consumer goods; ensure smooth supply, circulation and distribution of goods.
As one of the major retailers in the province, the WinMart+ convenience store chain has proactively developed a business plan for the end of the year and increased its inventory. Mr. Do Minh Vu, Manager of the WinMart+ system in Lang Son, said: Currently, in the province, we have a chain of 14 convenience stores. To ensure the supply of goods for the peak season, since October 2025, we have worked with major suppliers to list and finalize the output of key products. Accordingly, we have currently stockpiled goods with a total value of over 4 billion VND (an increase of 50% compared to normal months of the year) with 2,000 items, from dried goods, processed foods to fresh foods. It is expected that in the coming time, the number of customers coming to WinMart+ will increase by about 25% compared to normal days, so we will continue to allocate goods, balance and regulate the items at the stores in the system according to consumer demand and population density of each area, thereby ensuring the quantity of goods and variety of items to meet the needs of consumers.
The industry and trade sector estimates the quantity of some essential goods needed to serve people's needs such as: rice of all kinds about 9,300 tons; cakes, jams, candies about 470 tons; fresh meats about 11,000 tons (pork, buffalo, beef, fish, chicken, duck...); vegetables and fruits about 12,000 tons... Up to now, the amount of goods prepared by businesses and distributors in the province to supply has reached about 70 - 80% of people's consumption needs. |
Not only retail businesses, large consumer goods distribution businesses in the province such as Thien Phu Construction Trading Company Limited, Hoang Nguyen Trading Joint Stock Company... have all implemented plans to stockpile goods. Mr. Tran The Kien, Director of Thien Phu Construction and Trading Company Limited, Tam Thanh Ward, said: Since the end of October 2025, the company has reviewed, counted and closed orders with about 2,000 agents and retail establishments in the company's distribution network in communes and wards in the province. At the same time, the company has proactively developed a plan to stockpile goods with a total value of over 10 billion VND (an increase of 25% compared to normal months of the year) to ensure the amount of essential goods to be ready to regulate and distribute to agents. In addition, to better serve people's needs during peak times, we are committed to selling goods at stable prices; implementing preferential programs according to brands.

Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: Through monitoring, up to now, the supply and prices of goods in the market have basically remained stable. To ensure market stability during the peak period from now until the end of the year, the department continues to direct specialized departments to proactively grasp the market situation to advise the Provincial People's Committee to promptly implement market stabilization solutions; request businesses and distributors to proactively ensure the supply of goods, stabilize prices and organize trips to bring goods to remote areas to serve people. At the same time, the department directs the Market Management Department to strengthen market inspection and control, resolutely and strictly handle cases of intentional hoarding, illegal price increases or violations of other regulations on commercial activities, thereby protecting the rights of consumers and creating a healthy business environment.
The proactiveness of all levels, sectors and the business community has been contributing to stabilizing the market, ensuring supply and demand of goods during the end of 2025 and the Lunar New Year 2026.
