Developing "multi-value agriculture "
Spanning 130 hectares, San Viet Farm (Nam Ninh Hoa commune) is like a "green oasis." Amidst the vast space, layers of fruit trees intertwine: guava, mango, Siamese coconut, banana, wild bamboo shoots, interspersed with medicinal herb gardens. What impressed us most was the circular agriculture model: organic waste is processed using calcium-rich insects; agricultural by-products become animal feed. Everything is harmoniously and sustainably interconnected. Beyond agriculture, evenings here are also a vibrant cultural space. By the warm fire, the rustic sounds of the Raglai people's Chapi instrument resonate, and the graceful Ede dance blends with the rhythm of nature...

Heading up towards Khánh Sơn, we saw vast durian orchards stretching as far as the eye could see, their gentle fragrance carried on the breeze. On a wooden platform in the garden at Mộng Mơ Farm (Khánh Sơn commune), the distant sound of a babbling stream echoed as we enjoyed freeze-dried durian – a summer delicacy whose flavor is preserved until spring; and listened to Ms. Mấu Thị Mộng Mơ, the owner of Mộng Mơ Farm, tell stories about her garden and trees. It wasn't just about hard work; it was also about the arduous journey of preserving the land and the forest. “Here, visitors can enjoy durian, mangosteen, purple sugarcane, and traditional dishes prepared by the locals using stream fish, wild vegetables, and bamboo shoots…” – the owner of Mộng Mơ Farm explained.
For Thanh Truc, the charming owner of Gió Farmstay nestled among the hills in Dong Khanh Son commune, the beautiful natural scenery, the sweet and wholesome produce, the simple people, and the cultural identity... these are the elements that have helped her pursue "multi-value agriculture." Here, the concept of "multi-value agriculture" becomes more accessible than ever: Value lies not only in the selling price per kilogram of fruit, but also in the experience, in the connection between people and nature.
A place to find peace of mind.
Many lush green gardens like these are creating a new agro-tourism map: Phuong Hoang Farm, Ninh Tay Farm (Tay Ninh Hoa commune); Nong Trai Vui (Dien Lam commune); Khanh Le Farm (Nam Khanh Vinh commune); Hoa Qua Son (Trung Khanh Vinh commune); Sakura Farm (Dong Khanh Son commune); Ta Giang Riverview (Tay Khanh Son commune); FARA Farm (Phuoc Ha commune); Chang Chang Farm (Ninh Phuoc commune)... There, agriculture not only reflects the production life but also becomes a destination for those seeking tranquility of soul.

In the hot, dry southern lands, vast plains unfold, teeming with flocks of sheep and goats grazing peacefully. Amidst this landscape, the stories of nomadic shepherds, recounting humanity's enduring adaptation to the harsh natural environment, captivate visitors. Also in this seemingly sun-drenched and windy region, there are vineyards laden with grapes in the communes of Xuan Hai, Ninh Phuoc, and Cong Hai... Red grapes, green grapes, finger grapes, peony grapes… the result of persistent care and careful nurturing of every drop of cool water, becoming a specialty of this land.
In the middle of that grassland, we met a Cham girl with a radiant smile, and listened to her stories about the Paranung drum symbolizing the earth, the Ghi-nang drum symbolizing the sky, and the Saranai horn symbolizing humanity; and about the Bau Truc pottery village with its entirely handcrafted techniques. These stories revealed the enduring depth of culture alongside productive labor.
A spring journey through the orchards reveals that agriculture today is undergoing a powerful transformation. The gardens tell stories, the plains sing, and the farmers are quietly weaving an economic tapestry from the beauty of their labor.
