Singer NOO PHUOC THINH:

The roots will create lasting values.

Cultural exchange between countries around the world is developing strongly, and this is also an opportunity to showcase our country's cultural identity more vividly through artistic products. This is the time for Vietnamese culture to make its mark on the world audience, even placing itself on the global cultural and artistic map. However, the challenge of preserving cultural identity has never been easy. We must integrate but not be assimilated. We accept new things, so-called trends, but they must be based on our own cultural foundation.

This must stem from a foundation of education , knowing how to promote inherited values and encourage the younger generation to be creative within the framework of Vietnamese culture. Currently, art products that combine traditional and contemporary culture are creating positive light in the journey of preserving cultural identity through art. These products have received a great response from the audience. Art products that both preserve identity and approach the general development patterns of the world are the common formula for everyone pursuing art. This journey needs to be further promoted and encouraged, especially among young people. Any plan that originates from the roots will create sustainable values, and Vietnamese cultural identity will naturally spread.

To dedicate ourselves to creating art that is both globally recognized and uniquely our own is the mission of those working in the arts.

Singer Hoa Minzy :

Hopefully, art will be introduced into high schools soon.

Since elementary school, I knew I wanted to be a singer. But back then, living in the countryside of Bac Ninh, I didn't have the opportunity to receive formal music education. I had to wait until after finishing high school to apply to a music school. However, I couldn't get into a regular music school, not because I sang badly, but because I didn't know music theory. My case is one of the typical examples of the inadequacies in the current training process for artistic human resources. Now that I'm a singer, I still regret not receiving music training earlier. Therefore, I hope that the art of singing (or playing a musical instrument) will soon be included in schools as a necessary training subject. This would not only find human resources for the profession but also "train" a generation of audiences with a foundation sufficient to appreciate genuine artistic values.

Singer ST SON THACH:

Ready to be a teaching assistant

As an artist, ST is well aware that going global must be based on one's own cultural identity. However, promoting Vietnamese cultural identity to the world requires time and the collective effort of everyone. ST has created artistic products where the value of Vietnamese cultural identity is the core foundation. When first deciding to pursue this path, ST wondered, "Will the audience accept it?", but when the audience loved it, culminating in the song "Thuận nước đẩy thuyền" winning the 30th Mai Vàng Award, ST believed that the path she chose was correct. No journey is easy, but if you choose the right path, all difficulties are just challenges, and when you overcome them, you will reap unexpected results.

To win over international audiences, there's no more effective way than combining modernity and cultural identity to make Vietnamese products more appealing to international friends. Inspired by senior artists, ST's dream is to spread and inspire a passion for art to future generations. Therefore, if someday, somewhere, ST needs to be a music instructor for younger generations, I'm always ready...!

Designer VIET HUNG :

A lifetime of dedication

When I decided to preserve Vietnamese identity in my creative career, I knew it was a "dangerous" path because it couldn't bring economic benefits. It's truly difficult for an artist to balance business and art. Therefore, when I decided to pursue that direction, I knew I had to do business "elsewhere" and create art purely as art!

Once I clearly defined my direction, I felt completely at ease implementing strategies to preserve cultural identity through activities such as donating 5,000 to 10,000 sets of traditional Vietnamese ao dai dresses to teachers each year. For me, teachers are the team that preserves cultural identity and spreads that mission to future generations, to the students.

I am also seeing positive results from the "Centennial Remembrance" program (held at the Nam Phuong Empress Palace in the Lam Dong Museum), which showcased a collection of 100 Vietnamese ao dai (traditional dresses). After the program, the number of visitors increased many times over, including a large number of international tourists. I believe this is an effective way to promote Vietnamese cultural identity to the public, and I will continue to pursue this approach.
