Bringing the Law on the Coast Guard into practice.

(NLDO) - On January 8th, in Phu Quoc City ( Kien Giang province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 held a conference to summarize the implementation of the Project "Propagating and disseminating the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard in the period 2019 - 2023".

At the conference, the central report and the presentations unanimously affirmed that over the past five years, the implementation of the project to disseminate and popularize the Law on the Coast Guard has been carried out with many synchronized, creative, specific, and scientific policies and measures.

By flexibly applying various forms of propaganda and legal education ; effectively exploiting social media platforms and utilizing artificial intelligence applications suitable for each locality, target group, and COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 has achieved many outstanding and encouraging results.

These efforts have contributed to the rapid implementation of the Vietnam Coast Guard Law, becoming a solid legal foundation for the Vietnam Coast Guard in general and the Regional Command in particular to effectively perform their assigned functions, tasks, and powers.

Notably, the unit has thoroughly and seriously implemented all directives from higher authorities; closely coordinated with Party committees, government agencies, organizations, departments, and armed forces in the area to develop plans and guidelines for implementing the project in accordance with regulations.

The organization conducted 43 concentrated legal awareness and dissemination sessions for 16,527 people; and distributed over 100,000 sets of documents and leaflets for legal education...

In addition, the Regional Command has consistently performed well in inspection, supervision, and experience sharing; innovating the content, form, and methods of propaganda towards " focusing on the grassroots, directly on the ground "; and replicating good models and creative, effective approaches such as: integrating the dissemination of the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard into the implementation of the " Coast Guard accompanies fishermen " mass mobilization program; the " I love the sea and islands of my homeland " competition in both direct and online formats; and disseminating information through the internal broadcasting systems of localities and social media platforms on the internet.

Concluding the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Dung, Political Commissar of the Regional Command, acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the results and achievements that the agencies and units had achieved over the past five years of implementing the project.

Looking ahead, Major General Nguyen Van Dung requested that Party committees and commanders at all levels continue to promote the dissemination of the Vietnam Coast Guard Law, along with relevant documents and guidelines from higher levels, to officers, soldiers, and the people in the area, in conjunction with the effective implementation of the Project " Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in the dissemination and education of law, and mobilizing the people to abide by the law at the grassroots level in the period 2021 - 2027 ".

Regularly coordinate closely with local agencies, departments, and organizations; promote the dynamic and creative role of legal reporters and propagandists at all levels in innovating and diversifying forms of propaganda, ensuring flexibility, creativity, and suitability for each locality and target audience.

This contributes to raising awareness, promoting compliance with the law, and encouraging participation in protecting the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands in the new situation for all segments of the population.

Colonel Tran Van Luong, Commander of Coast Guard Region 4, presented awards to collectives with outstanding achievements over the past five years of implementing the project.

At the conference, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 awarded prizes to 04 collectives and 09 individuals for their outstanding achievements over the 05 years of implementing the project.
