According to Bui Quoc Thai, Director of the An Giang Department of Tourism: The Cam Mountain tourist area is gradually diversifying its products and services, such as cable car systems, trekking activities, and the Lam Vien water park, contributing to enhancing the tourist experience, promoting socio -economic development, and improving the lives of local people. The promotion and advertising of the Cam Mountain tourist area to domestic and international markets is also being intensified, gradually building and spreading the An Giang tourism brand. However, the development of Cam Mountain tourism still faces some difficulties and obstacles related to planning, prolonged disputes, and ensuring security and order. These issues need to be resolved soon to effectively exploit the potential and promote sustainable tourism development in Cam Mountain.
This area needs a diverse range of tourism products that suit its existing potential and advantages, focusing on ecotourism, resort tourism, and spiritual tourism. Gradually, investment should be encouraged to build a system of high-quality accommodation and tourism services, aiming to establish resorts and hotels meeting 3-5 star standards to satisfy the diverse needs of tourists. Mount Cam needs to develop ecotourism and spiritual tourism linked to its distinctive attractions, restoring and upgrading typical tourist sites such as Van Linh Pagoda, Phat Lon Pagoda, Thuy Liem Cave, Bac Vat Lang Cave, Ong Ho Cave, Cuu Pham Temple, etc., in order to preserve cultural and religious values and enhance the attractiveness of the destination.

Experts also suggest that localities should encourage the development of community-based tourism such as agricultural tourism, ecotourism in gardens and traditional craft villages, thereby gradually engaging local communities in tourism activities.
During peak seasons, especially weekends and holidays, traffic congestion frequently occurs on the road from the entrance to the tourist area to the town center, affecting visitors' sightseeing activities. Mr. Dinh Van Chac, Director of the Cam Mountain Tourist Area Management Board, suggested that the Provincial People's Committee consider investing in expanding the Engineering Corps road connecting to Provincial Road 948 to alleviate traffic congestion and facilitate travel for tourists.
The An Giang Department of Tourism also proposed assigning the Provincial Project Management Board to survey and recommend investment in expanding the Engineering Corps road connecting to Provincial Road 948.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province requested relevant departments and agencies to strengthen the management of tourism activities in the area, address the issue of illegal homestay construction and touting; and at the same time ensure traffic safety, environmental hygiene, and build an image of a civilized and safe destination so that the tourism of Nui Cam can develop according to its existing potential and advantages. The province will call on capable businesses to participate in investing in and managing the Nui Cam tourist area, gradually shifting from a state management model to attracting business investment, thereby effectively utilizing the potential and making Nui Cam an attractive destination in the region.
On the evening of March 7th, the People's Committee of Nui Cam Commune, in coordination with the Management Board of Nui Cam Tourist Area, organized the 2nd Thien Cam Son Lantern Festival, attracting more than 20,000 local people, Buddhists, and tourists from inside and outside the province to attend and worship.
Mount Cam (Thien Cam Son) is located in the heart of the Bay Nui region, encompassing the communes of Nui Cam, An Cu, and Chi Lang ward. It has a natural area of 3,100 hectares and an altitude of 710 meters above sea level. With its majestic mountainous terrain and unique natural landscape, it is considered a key tourist attraction in An Giang province and the Mekong Delta region. The planned tourist area covers over 1,050 hectares, with the majority of the central tourist area located in Nui Cam commune.

In 2014, Mount Cam was recognized as a local tourist area under the 2005 Tourism Law, attracting approximately 1 million domestic and international tourists annually. Typical attractions include Thuy Liem Lake, Thanh Long Lake, O Tuksa Stream, Tien Stream, along with many cultural and spiritual tourist sites such as Van Linh Pagoda, the Maitreya Buddha statue, the Big Buddha Zen Monastery, and various peaks, caves, and shrines associated with numerous spiritual legends.
Over the past period, the Management Board of the Nui Cam Tourist Area has closely coordinated with the People's Committee of Nui Cam commune and Chi Lang ward to manage tourism activities, including accommodation, services, and commerce. Currently, the area has 12 accommodation establishments at the foot of the mountain with a capacity of approximately 800 people and 12 establishments on the mountain with a capacity of approximately 700 people, mainly guesthouses and motels. However, most of the accommodation establishments are small in scale and do not meet the standards for serving large groups of tourists, leading to limitations in connecting tour routes and developing accommodation tourism.
