To raise legal awareness among the people, especially the Khmer ethnic minority, on May 21, 2026, the Can Tho City State Legal Aid Center, in coordination with the People's Committee of Hoa Luu Commune, Can Tho City, organized a communication event on legal aid for the people in the commune.

Mr. Huynh Cao Cuong, Deputy Director of the Center, attended the media event . Also serving as the Head of Branch No. 1, representing the People's Committee of the commune was Ms. Le Thi My Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary, along with over 34 local residents from Thanh Trung hamlet . During the information session, legal aid assistants introduced the basic contents of the Law on Legal Aid and the Law on Legal Aid. Land , Law on grassroots mediation , The center focuses on policies and legal regulations related to people's daily lives . In addition, legal aid assistants have provided direct advice and answered many legal questions for people in the fields of civil law, land, complaints, etc. Furthermore, the center distributed over 120 legal leaflets to help people understand the eligibility criteria for free legal aid (especially for the Khmer ethnic group) in economically and socially disadvantaged areas, those who have contributed to the revolution, and other vulnerable groups.
