Bringing Buddhism to ethnic minorities in Quang Tri province.

Son Thanh Pagoda is a Buddhist temple located in Tan Thanh commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province. Established in 2013, the pagoda has quickly attracted the attention of Buddhists from all over the country. Situated on a high hill, it offers panoramic views of the majestic mountains and forests and the tranquil Se Pon River.

The highlight of the temple's architecture is the 30-meter-tall statue of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, built in 2013. The abbot of Son Thanh Temple is Venerable Thich Khong Giai, who has been dedicated to Buddhist work here for over 10 years. In this sacred place of Buddhism, people from different ethnic groups and cultures live together in harmony, unity, and a shared aspiration towards the compassionate light of Buddhist teachings. The temple is not only a place for Buddhists to practice and worship but also a unique tourist attraction, showcasing the cultural exchange between Vietnam and Laos.
