In the midst of the fierce battle, Mr. Nao's father and two brothers were killed. Continuing his family's revolutionary tradition, at the age of 16, he left his hometown and joined the armed forces at the sacred call of the Fatherland. At this time, he participated in combat and fought many ambushes in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district.

Those battles were not only intense gunfights but also long days of marching through the jungle, facing hunger, thirst and disease. Enemy bombs not only spread death but also left behind inconsolable emotional wounds.

“Once, my teammates and I marched into the enemy’s lair and fell right into an ambush. At that time, the enemy attacked continuously, bullets were pouring down, I witnessed my close friend die right before my eyes and I almost died myself” - Mr. Nao recalled the fierce battle.

Applying the combined agricultural model, Mr. Le Van Nao's family (Tan Ninh commune, Tan Thanh district) has an income of 15-20 million VND/month.

But it was also those few near-death experiences that gave him the motivation to hold his gun steady, to live and fight in a way that was worthy of his comrades who remained on the battlefield. After the country was reunified, he continued to work in the police force and held important positions. Thanks to his contributions to the Fatherland, Mr. Nao was awarded many medals and noble certificates of merit, most notably the Glorious Soldier Medal (Second and Third Class), the 50-year Party membership badge, etc.

In 1985, Mr. Le Van Nao returned to his hometown and continued to increase production, developing an agricultural model including growing rice, jackfruit, raising catfish and frogs. As for the frog farming model, the total area of the cages is currently 3,000m² with more than 300,000 frogs. The couple's income is always stable, fluctuating around 15-20 million VND/month.

Not only is Mr. Nao good at business, he also actively participates in social work, mobilizing people to donate land to build roads. To set an example, his family took the lead in donating 500m² of land, supporting the locality to open a 3km inter-hamlet road. Due to his many contributions to the development of the locality, regularly sharing experiences in farming and doing good business, over the years, Mr. Nao has taken on many roles such as hamlet chief, hamlet party cell secretary, etc. With a simple, sociable lifestyle and words always matching actions, he has become an exemplary model, implementing the slogan "Party members go first, the country follows".

His family currently has 4 successful sons, living in harmony with the village. Sharing about how to raise children, veteran Le Van Nao said: "I always take revolutionary tradition as a "compass" to educate my children, teach them to strictly obey the law and regularly help the disadvantaged."

In life, he and his wife always understand and gently share to understand each other better. That is also the reason why for many years, Mr. Nao's family has been recognized as a typical cultural family at the commune and district levels.

In his old age, Mr. Le Van Nao still works hard and contributes to his homeland. His life is a beautiful story of courage, compassion and responsibility. He not only teaches his children and grandchildren these noble values but also spreads them to the community, contributing to building a civilized and humane society./.
