Upon arriving in Dong Tien commune, we observed that the coastal arterial road project, spanning nearly 1km through Dong Van village, has been paved with asphalt, providing a smooth and unobstructed road surface. The road is approximately 7-8m wide, with painted lines marking the lanes, tiled sidewalks on both sides, and traffic signs installed. However, because the project has been stalled for a long time, both ends of this road section are dead-end, not connecting to any other main traffic arteries.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan (born in 1962, Head of Dong Van village) said that the coastal road project connecting the three former communes of Thach Van, Thach Tri, and Thach Hoi (now merged into Dong Tien commune) and some neighboring communes, was started in 2022 with an investment of billions of VND. However, from 2023, after constructing a section of nearly 1km through Dong Van village, the project stopped.
"During meetings with constituents, people have petitioned the authorities and investors to allocate funds to continue and complete the construction of this road, but so far there has been no result," Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan shared.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huyen, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Tien commune, informed that recently, the locality conducted a survey of the coastal road project through Dong Van village and submitted a report and proposal to relevant authorities to consider investing funds (estimated at approximately 8.5 billion VND) to construct the section connecting from the dead-end road to Thach Hoi. Regarding the section heading north, there are some obstacles in the planning, so the locality has proposed that the province and relevant authorities allocate funds soon to complete the remaining items to ensure synchronization with other infrastructure.
