Goalkeeper Ederson Moraes arrived in Istanbul to finalize the last details of his transfer from Manchester City to Fenerbahce.

Ederson is being pursued by both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

However, the Brazilian goalkeeper's choice of Fenerbahce angered the Galatasaray management and many fans. Prior to this, the reigning Turkish Super League champions seemed to have finalized the last steps to sign the Manchester City goalkeeper.

Galatasaray's management even planned to introduce Ederson to the fans in a Turkish Super Lig match. However, at the last minute, Fenerbahce unexpectedly entered the picture, causing Ederson to dramatically change his mind.

According to Türkiye Today , Fenerbahce have reached an agreement with Manchester City for a transfer fee ranging from 13 to 14 million euros (approximately 12 million pounds), plus additional bonuses.

Ederson agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce, signing a three-year contract (until 2028, with an option to extend until 2029) and receiving a salary of 8 million euros per year, plus performance-related bonuses.

Many Galatasaray fans accuse Ederson of being greedy, claiming he rejected their club to join their bitter rivals in the Turkish Super League. Galatasaray, following the departure of legendary goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, identified Ederson as their top target this summer.

The Turkish club initially reached a personal agreement with Ederson on a three-year contract worth €7.5 million per season. However, when Fenerbahce submitted an offer of €8 million per year, Ederson changed his mind.
