Foot Mercato reports that Al Ittihad have identified Ederson as one of their top targets in their plans to overhaul their squad next season. Under coach Laurent Blanc, the club are looking for quality players to compete for domestic and international honours.
Previously, British media reported that Ederson was on the list of players to be released by Man City after an unsuccessful season. The 31-year-old goalkeeper has made 365 appearances for the Manchester team since joining in 2017. He has played an important role in the club's success, including winning the Premier League and Champions League.
In addition to Al Ittihad, Ederson has also been linked with Fenerbahce, the team coached by Jose Mourinho.
To replace Ederson, Pep Guardiola is considering recruiting Diogo Costa from Porto. Costa's representative, "super agent" Jorge Mendes, has played an important role in recent negotiations.
Costa has a €75m release clause in his contract at Porto. If Porto cannot be persuaded to reduce the price, the Manchester club will be forced to pay the amount.
