Emiliano Martinez gave his teammate a head injury.

On the evening of September 13th (Hanoi time), Lucas Digne suffered a large bruise after a collision with teammate Emiliano Martinez during Aston Villa's 0-0 draw against Everton in the fourth round of the Premier League.

Martinez's shoe struck his teammate Digne hard in the head.

The incident occurred in the 30th minute at Hill Dickinson. Digne attempted to block a cross from Everton, but the ensuing chaos in the penalty area put him in a difficult position. As he tried to move to protect his goal, Digne unexpectedly fell on top of goalkeeper Martinez.

As Digne fell, Martinez's shoe struck his teammate's forehead. Doctors immediately rushed to attend to the French player. Television cameras captured a large bruise appearing right above Digne's right eyebrow.

Digne was forced to leave the pitch for medical procedures due to a head injury, but quickly returned to play. Notably, Martinez made his first start for Aston Villa this season after his move to Manchester United fell through.

Returning to the match, despite having many quality players in their squads, Aston Villa and Everton were unable to score. Everton unleashed 20 shots but only 2 were on target. Meanwhile, Villa had better possession (52%), but only 6 shots with only 1 on target.
