(NLĐO) - After months of facing a crisis due to a transfer ban, Thanh Hoa Club has just had its ban lifted by FIFA and added four new players.

From November 2025, Thanh Hoa FC will be banned by the International Football Federation (FIFA) from registering new players for three transfer windows or until the ban is lifted. The reason is that the team from Thanh Hoa does not have enough money to pay the salaries of four players and the coach.

Amidst financial difficulties, Thanh Hoa FC's squad has dwindled due to injuries and personnel changes. In recent V-League rounds, coach Mai Xuan Hop's team has only been able to register around 17 players. Even reserve goalkeeper Y Eli Nie has had to play as a forward.

On February 27th, the club announced that it had paid the full amount of approximately 3 billion VND as required by FIFA. By the afternoon of March 2nd, when the official penalty was lifted, Thanh Hoa immediately activated its plan to recruit new players for the second half of the 2025-2026 season.

Accordingly, four new names have arrived at Thanh Hoa: Amar Catic, Nguyen Huu Dung, Le Van Hoan, and Le Van Hung. The new hope for the Thanh Hoa team is certainly Amar Catic, a striker born in 1999 who holds dual citizenship of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands.

Having previously played for the Bosnia-Herzegovina youth national team in the 2019-2020 U21 Euro qualifiers and for Dutch club PSV, this foreign player is valued at approximately 250,000 euros by October 2025 by Transfermarkt . Primarily playing on the right wing, Catic is expected to bring speed and the ability to create breakthroughs to Thanh Hoa's attack, which has lacked depth recently.

Among the three domestic players, the return of Nguyen Huu Dung, a former midfielder for Thanh Hoa FC before moving to Da Nang FC, is noteworthy. He also played for Vietnam at the 2016 AFC U23 Championship under coach Toshiya Miura. His extensive experience and understanding of the local football environment are seen as key factors in his quick integration, bringing stability to the midfield.

The other two names are young players who have come through Thanh Hoa's youth academy, have trained with the first team for a long time, and are now officially being given an opportunity.
