FPT appoints AI Director and launches AI transformation framework.

FPT announced the appointment of the Group's AI (Artificial Intelligence) Transformation Director (CAIXO) and simultaneously launched the CASAN methodology - an AI transformation framework for global organizations and businesses.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, AI specialist and Chief Technology Officer ofFPT Group, assumes the position of Director of AI Transformation for the Group.

The goal of this decision is to promote AI transformation for partners, customers, and within the Group. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, AI expert and Chief Technology Officer, assumes the position of Group Director of AI Transformation.

This decision affirms FPT's determination and readiness to partner with all organizations and businesses to enhance their global competitiveness through AI transformation.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phong heads the FPT AI Transformation Board, with key functions and responsibilities aimed at creating a comprehensive breakthrough in FPT's cutting-edge technology sector. He is responsible for managing and promoting FPT's technology strategies, focusing on AI; researching and developing methodologies, platforms, and AI transformation solutions for internal use and clients; researching and developing core AI technologies; managing FPT's AI products and platforms; and promoting international cooperation.

In addition, the Board plays a pivotal role in training a team of experts, promoting initiatives, and applying AI throughout the corporation, contributing to bringing Vietnamese AI to a global level.

The global AI market is projected to reach nearly $2 trillion by 2030. In Vietnam, 85% of businesses affirm that AI transformation is a top priority and an urgent need, but in reality, Vietnamese businesses are overwhelmed by too many AI solutions and lack a governance framework for effective connection and implementation; 70% of business data is not yet ready due to junk data and unstructured data...

Recognizing the alarming situation leading to significant waste of resources and time, FPT researched and launched CASAN - a 5-level AI-Native competency framework developed by FPT, helping to standardize the AI ​​transformation roadmap for businesses.

The CASAN competency framework has a five-tiered structure:

The first tier is Curious: representing curiosity and the use of AI at a sporadic, individual level.

The second tier is Augmented: AI assists individual employees, increasing personal productivity.

Level 3 is Standard: AI is integrated into processes, and data and systems are standardized across the entire organization.

Level 4 is Automatic: virtual employees operate autonomously, and humans shift to monitoring and exception handling.

The highest level, level 5, is Native: a native AI organization.

The core purpose of CASAN is to provide a structured roadmap, helping businesses avoid fragmented deployments, thereby optimizing operational efficiency and accelerating the AI ​​transformation process. The launch of the AI ​​transformation framework is also a step contributing to the implementation of Government Resolution 57, bringing national strategic technologies into practice and enhancing national competitiveness.

FPT's AI capabilities have been accumulated over the past decade, with a comprehensive AI ecosystem ranging from research to product development, service solutions, and platforms; and training of human resources from primary school to doctoral level. The FPT.AI platform has reached over 200 million monthly users, helping international partners save up to 45% on operating costs.

Speaking about this vision, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Group, emphasized that at FPT, more than 30,000 engineers have been upgraded with AI, with the aspiration to use AI to create real changes for the economy, society, businesses, and everyone.

The Chairman of FPT affirmed that focusing resources and in-depth methodologies demonstrates the group's strong commitment to transforming artificial intelligence into a core competitive advantage, creating breakthrough value for customers and the global community.

FPT's transformation is taking place against the backdrop of the Government's recent issuance of 10 strategic technology groups, in which AI is a cornerstone technology. AI serves as a springboard for pioneering enterprises like FPT to leverage advantages in data infrastructure, high-quality AI human resources, and product solutions to support organizations and businesses while capturing market share; affirming its leading role and fulfilling its mission of mastering national strategic technologies, contributing to placing Vietnam in the top 50 AI countries by 2030.
