The Indonesian futsal team has just made history by finishing as runners-up in the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship. For Israr Megantara personally, he had a stellar tournament with a total of 5 goals.
Particularly in the final match against Iran, Israr scored an impressive hat-trick. Among them, his second goal was officially included by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in the list of the best goals of the tournament.
According to CNN Indonesia's description: "It was a goal that combined both teamwork and individual skill under coach Hector Souto."
From goalkeeper Habiebie's throw-in, the ball landed at Israr's feet on the wing. There, the Cosmo JNE player executed a classy move, beating Iran's Behrooz Azimi before unleashing a powerful long-range shot from outside the box to beat goalkeeper Mohammadi, making the score 3-1 at that point.

Top 8 players nominated for the Best Goal award at the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.
However, to win the Best Goal award, Israr Megantara will have to compete with seven other strong contenders, including: Muhammad Osamanmusa (Thailand), Reza Hosseinpoor (Afghanistan), Shoto Yamanaka (Japan), Elbek Tulkinov (Uzbekistan), Saeid Ahmad Abbasi (Iran), Dinh Cong Vien (Vietnam) and Salim Kadhim (Iraq).
The poll is now open on the AFC homepage and will close at 5 PM on Saturday (February 14).
