“The ward police always treat us like family, very close and friendly, with no distance between one force and another. Sometimes, the spiritual value is more precious than material things. We are very happy and feel secure when cooperating and supporting the police in carrying out their duties,” shared Mr. Hoang Van Thao, Head of the Security and Order Protection Team of Block 13, Phuoc Hoi Ward.
This is also the shared sentiment of many members of the forces involved in protecting public security and order. The companionship and support of the police force have given them more motivation to commit to their duties, contributing to strengthening the people's security posture right from the grassroots level.
Currently, the forces involved in maintaining security and order in the community are individuals who regularly work in the area, understand local customs and traditions, have a firm grasp of the local population, and maintain close relationships with the people. They are considered the "eyes and ears," a crucial link that helps the police force promptly detect and handle emerging incidents from the outset.
During the course of their duties, the police force observed that the majority of members of the community security force faced economic difficulties. Their monthly support and benefits were not commensurate with the hardships and pressures of their work. Therefore, in addition to professional cooperation, local police forces consistently provided encouragement and support, both materially and spiritually, to this force.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Dinh Luu, Deputy Head of Phuoc Hoi Ward Police, said that the ward's community security force currently has 78 members operating in 24 neighborhoods. These are people who have been involved in maintaining local order for many years. "We always encourage them to continue supporting the police in gathering information and reporting on the situation at the grassroots level," Lieutenant Colonel Luu said.
Besides commending and rewarding achievements in crime prevention and control, many police units also proactively mobilize social resources to support the security forces in their daily lives. Lieutenant Colonel Duong Thuan Hai, Deputy Head of Son My Commune Police, said that in addition to gifts during holidays, the unit also tries to find funding to support fuel, meals, or other practical incentives to share the difficulties with the forces participating in protecting community security.
Similarly, Lieutenant Colonel Le Thanh Tung, Head of the Dong Giang Commune Police, believes that moral support is of great significance to this force. Besides mobilizing benefactors to provide small gifts, the commune police always maintain a tradition of visiting officers when they are sick, sharing in their difficulties, and treating them as comrades in the same force.
According to Decision No. 15/2026/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee, the entire province currently has 2,772 grassroots security and order protection teams in villages and residential areas, with approximately 9,700 members. This is a large force playing a crucial role in maintaining security and order, mediating conflicts among the people, building the movement of "All People Protect National Security," and assisting the police in resolving incidents at the grassroots level.
Sincere encouragement and a spirit of camaraderie in their work have further strengthened the close relationship between the police force and the forces involved in protecting public security and order. This serves as motivation for these forces to continue dedicating themselves and contributing to building a solid people's security posture.
The strong bond within the police force has instilled greater trust, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to cooperate with the police in all tasks among many members of the security and order protection force.
