Domestic coffee prices rise due to supply concerns.
Coffee prices in the Vietnamese domestic market on November 30th recorded an increase of 500 VND/kg, bringing the purchase price in key Central Highlands regions to fluctuate between 111,000 and 112,000 VND/kg. This development occurred amidst a significant delay in the harvest due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Heavy rains, floods, and landslides in the Central Highlands have brought many production areas to a standstill. This raises concerns about the yield and quality of coffee beans, especially as a new storm is forecast to be approaching.

Farmers face many challenges.
Prolonged adverse weather during a crucial harvesting period has severely impacted coffee growers. Continuous rain prevented the ripening of coffee cherries, while strong winds caused the fruit to fall, further increasing losses.
Besides the difficulties caused by natural disasters, farmers are also facing a labor shortage. Many households have to take advantage of rare dry periods to harvest their crops themselves. Purchasing businesses are also waiting for more stable weather to organize labor.
