Similarly, Brent crude oil prices stood at $73.16 per barrel, down 2.69% (equivalent to an increase of $2.02 per barrel).

Oil prices fell by more than $2 a barrel today following reports that Israel and Lebanon have agreed on the terms of a deal to end the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, citing unnamed senior US officials.

Earlier, Israel said it was moving toward a ceasefire in its war with Hezbollah but that many issues remained to be resolved, while Lebanese officials expressed cautious optimism but said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was untrustworthy.

Giovanni Staunovo of UBS said: " It appears that news of a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon is the reason for the drop in oil prices, even though no supply has been disrupted by the conflict between the two countries and the risk premium in oil was already low before the recent price drop ."

Phil Flynn, a senior analyst at Price Futures Group, said in a note on Monday that the oil market is being tossed up and down by concerns about increasing or decreasing supply disruptions.

"A report that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu approved a ceasefire in Lebanon could be a negative catalyst in principle, but we'll have to see more details as they're released. Last week, the world was stunned when Russia launched hypersonic missiles" into Ukraine, Flynn wrote in his energy report.

Last week, both US Brent and WTI crude oil futures recorded their biggest weekly gains since late September and reached their highest settlement levels since November 7th after Russia fired a hypersonic missile at Ukraine as a warning to the United States and the United Kingdom following Ukrainian attacks on Russia using US and British weapons.

Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov told Reuters that OPEC+ may consider maintaining current oil production cuts from January 1 at its next meeting on Sunday.

This group, which includes the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies such as Russia, has postponed raising prices this year due to concerns about demand.

Domestic retail gasoline and diesel prices on November 26, 2024, are applied according to the adjustment made at 3 PM on November 22 by the Joint Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 109 VND/liter, to 19,343 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline decreased by 79 VND/liter, to 20,528 VND/liter.

Diesel fuel 0.05S decreased by 64 VND/liter, to 18,509 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 67 VND/liter, to 18,921 VND/liter. However, mazut 180CST 3.5S increased by 5 VND/kg, to 16,014 VND/kg.

During this price adjustment period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, and fuel oil.

Thus, from the beginning of 2024 until now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 46 adjustments, including 23 decreases, 18 increases, and 6 changes.
