On the afternoon of December 28th, the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that the Gia Lai Countdown 2026 program will take place from 8:30 PM to midnight on December 31st, with two locations: Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon Ward) and Dai Doan Ket Square (Pleiku Ward). The event is organized by the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Gia Lai Newspaper, Radio and Television, and other relevant units, and will be broadcast live on GTV channel and other digital platforms.
Gia Lai Countdown 2026 is taking place in a special context, as the locality is simultaneously striving to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and urgently preparing to host the National Tourism Year 2026. Therefore, the program is not simply a night of music and entertainment, but also conveys a message about the will to overcome difficulties, the spirit of unity, and the aspiration for sustainable development of the Gia Lai region.

The program will open with a grand artistic display titled "Igniting the Heart's Flame," elaborately staged with modern music, a large-scale lighting system, and LED screens. The "flame" imagery throughout the program symbolizes patriotism, national pride, community cohesion, and the enduring resilience of the people of Gia Lai in the face of challenges.
Chapter I of Gia Lai Countdown 2026, titled "The Vitality of Spring - Spreading Love," opened with a fresh and vibrant atmosphere featuring a series of familiar domestic and international songs such as Happy New Year, Hello Vietnam, Spring Chorus, and A Year Full of Hope … The performances, with modern arrangements and presented by artists from Vietnam and abroad, painted a colorful and hopeful picture of spring.
At the Pleiku venue, the program dedicated a solemn space to honor the cultural heritage of the Central Highlands. The sounds of gongs, traditional dances, and songs with the essence of the mountains resonated throughout the square, evoking the ancient cultural roots of the ethnic groups in Gia Lai province. The harmonious blend of traditional folk music and contemporary music created a seamless emotional flow, affirming the cultural identity: preserving core values while actively creating and developing.
Chapter II, themed "Igniting the Flame of Youth - International Convergence," created an explosive atmosphere with the participation of young singers and DJs from both Vietnam and abroad.
The most anticipated moment of Gia Lai Countdown 2026 will be the countdown to the new year. As the final numbers of 2025 fade away, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the sky, ushering in 2026 with faith, hope, and the aspiration for Gia Lai to reach new heights on its new development journey.
