(GLO)- The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued Plan No. 1130/KH-UBND on developing logistics services for the period of 2023-2025, with a vision to 2030.
With the goal of turning Gia Lai into an important logistics hub in the region, the Plan sets out five contents for implementation, including: perfecting the management mechanism and developing logistics activities; development of logistics service infrastructure: improving the investment environment and supporting the improvement of enterprise capacity and service quality; improve the investment environment and support the improvement of enterprise capacity and service quality; training and improving the quality of human resources; propagate and raise awareness about the importance of logistics services for the development of the country.
In particular, on the development of logistics service infrastructure, the province will focus on developing transportation infrastructure through the implementation of the Gia Lai transport infrastructure development plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. XNUMX; focus on improving traffic infrastructure, ensuring connections to support the movement of goods and services, and limiting the lack of connection or traffic congestion. Effectively organize important traffic nodes and hubs to connect inland ports (ICDs), seaports and airports in the province and the region. Ensure the development of a combination of multimodal transport services and related services. Invest in new construction, expansion and upgrading of road traffic quality, focusing on speeding up the construction progress of key traffic routes in the province.
Regarding the development of logistics centers, the province will concretize the planning of logistics centers and infrastructure for logistics services in the area. Strengthen coordination between sectors to remove difficulties and obstacles to accelerate investment projects to build logistics service infrastructure. Continue to promote calling and investment promotion in logistics service infrastructure projects as planned. Orientation to develop logistics service infrastructure in the province on the principle of saving land and maximizing potential and resources to build and effectively exploit logistics infrastructure. Research, attract investment, build a logistics center of appropriate size connecting the focal points of collection, warehouses, and distribution of goods. Increasing the number of modern warehouses when production demand increases; to set up warehouses and concentrated yards near industrial zones and clusters, concentrated agricultural production areas; upgrade and form new bonded warehouses, tax-suspension warehouses, specialized warehouses to serve goods in transit and transshipment. To develop specialized warehouses suitable for commercial products such as cold storage, storage for agricultural products, petroleum, etc. and other special items.
Regarding training and improving the quality of human resources, the province will coordinate with institutes and universities to develop programs, organize training courses, and update logistics knowledge for state managers. enterprise; disseminating and propagating about Vietnamese law, international law, terms of trade agreements related to logistics; assisting enterprises to improve their capacity to negotiate, sign and perform contracts, and handle disputes related to logistics activities. Having policies to attract qualified and technical labor force into logistics activities in the locality; encouraging, mobilizing and propagating enterprises to invest in renewing equipment, technology, and in parallel with self-training and re-training of on-site workers.
