On the occasion of coming to Ho Chi Minh City to perform in a concert Super Junior LSS The Show: Th3ee Guys took place on the evening of March 23, the members of Super Junior LSS had a chat session Youth Online.
Ho Chi Minh City is one of the group's stops on their tour around Asia. Previously, Super Junior LSS performed in Jakarta, Hong Kong and will continue to Bangkok and Taipei in the near future.
Think of Vietnam immediately when choosing a place to tour
Although the sub-group Super Junior LSS was only formed earlier this year, all three members Leeteuk, Siwon and Shindong have worked with Super Junior for nearly 20 years.
It can be said that Super Junior is a "veteran" in the K-Pop music industry and is one of the few second generation groups still active today.
Therefore, they are often jokingly called "uncles" by fans (all members of the group are over 30 years old).
Having been to Vietnam many times before, Super Junior LSS shared with Youth Online that all three members thought of Vietnam when choosing their destination The Show: Th3ee Guys:
“We have long loved Vietnamese culture and cuisine. Especially the fans here are very enthusiastic, they all have a lot of love for the group. So, we decided to go to Vietnam."
Member Siwon also shared more with Youth Online that the group decided to prepare the grandstand area entirely with seats because they were afraid that the audience standing for a long time would become exhausted.
Because most of the ELFs (the name of the fan community) are adults, some are married, so the group wants to bring a complete experience to all audiences participating in the event.
'We will continue to grow old with everyone'
When asked if Super Junior LSS thinks they are competing with younger, more enthusiastic groups, "big brother" leeteuk say they think the opposite:
“I think young people have to compete with us!
We have been active for a long time and there are many people who have supported and loved Super Junior for nearly 20 years, so right now we are just thinking about how to respond to their love." .
"As for me, if when I was young I always thought I would try my best to the end, then at my current age I just think I should perform in a way that doesn't fall" - member Shindong shared humorously.
The reason Shindong answered like that was because he witnessed Leeteuk have an incident that caused him to injure his arm while performing at an event in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of last year because... dancing too hard.
But according to Leeteuk, that wound accidentally became his special mark with Vietnam.
"Every time I see that wound, I immediately remember Vietnam. At that time, people probably thought I was just pretending to be hurt, but in reality it was really painful, and the scars are still there" - Leeteuk said. with Youth Online.
Leeteuk added that as soon as he arrived in Vietnam, he received many comments and love messages from fans. The male singer is very grateful for the precious sentiments of ELF Vietnam:
"After going through our youth together, we think we will continue to grow old with everyone and have more happiness in the future."
As for Siwon, in addition to being grateful, he also wants to repay those precious feelings as a necessary mission.
“Every year, the love between me and my fans grows bigger and deeper. A relationship of nearly 20 years is really not easy to see in real life, so I really want to have many more beautiful memories with my fans in Vietnam."
