Following media reports on November 6th declaring Donald Trump the winner of the US presidential election, Tesla's stock surged approximately 28% in three days, according to Forbes. Reaching a valuation of $1 trillion also places Tesla in the same group of trillion-dollar companies as Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft. Tesla first achieved this milestone in October 2021.
Musk was one of Trump's closest allies during the campaign. The Tesla CEO spent at least $130 million on activities supporting the former US president. Investors believe that Trump's return to the White House could benefit the electric car manufacturer Tesla.
