This afternoon (June 4th), domestic gold prices continued their sharp decline. Currently, the price of SJC gold bars at major brands has uniformly decreased by another 500,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday afternoon, bringing the total drop over the past month to nearly 10 million VND/ounce.

As of this afternoon, major brands including SJC, DOJI , PNJ, Bao Tin Manh Hai, and Phu Quy have all listed SJC gold bars at 153.5 - 156.5 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), a decrease of 500,000 VND/ounce in both directions compared to the same time yesterday.

Fluctuations over one month (May 4th to June 4th): Domestic gold bar prices decreased by a total of 9.8 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling directions. Specifically, the buying price decreased from 163.3 million VND/ounce to 153.5 million VND/ounce; the selling price decreased from 166.3 million VND/ounce to 156.5 million VND/ounce.

Gold ring prices are falling across the board.

At the opening of trading on June 4th, the world gold price listed on Kitco.com was $4,470 per ounce . Although slightly higher than yesterday's closing price, this price is generally still within the downward trend of the past few days.

The escalating tensions in the Middle East have driven up energy prices, pushing inflation expectations higher, thereby strengthening the US dollar and putting downward pressure on gold. Additionally, expectations of higher interest rates amid potentially rising inflation have also contributed to the decline in global gold prices.
