The price of gold rings from several brands surged quite strongly today (June 12th) after two sessions of little fluctuation.

Late this afternoon, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company raised the price of plain round gold rings from Thang Long to 73.68-74.98 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). Compared to yesterday's closing price, the price of plain round gold rings from Thang Long increased by 350,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices.

Similarly, the price of 9999 pure gold rings at Doji Gold and Gemstone Group also increased by 350,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday's closing price, listed at the end of this afternoon at 73.7-74.95 million VND/ounce.

Meanwhile, some other brands maintained the previous day's gold ring prices. Some even lowered their gold ring prices.

Specifically, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) maintained the same gold ring prices as the previous day's closing price, listing gold rings weighing 1-5 taels in Ho Chi Minh City at 72.8-74.4 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings at Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) decreased by 200,000 VND/ounce today compared to yesterday's closing price, trading at 72.7-74.5 million VND/ounce (buy - sell).

The difference between the buying and selling prices of gold rings from various brands currently ranges from 1.2 to 1.4 million VND per tael (approximately 37.5 grams).

Domestic gold bar prices remained unchanged for the fifth consecutive session today. Major gold businesses such as SJC, Doji, and PNJ all listed SJC gold bars at 74.98-76.98 million VND/ounce (buy - sell).

Similarly, the price of SJC gold bars sold by the four state-owned commercial banks, including Agribank , BIDV, Vietcombank, and VietinBank, remained unchanged at 76.98 million VND/ounce. This marks the fifth consecutive session that the selling price of SJC gold bars by these banks has remained at 76.98 million VND/ounce.

On the global market , gold prices are trending downwards after rising sharply in the previous session.

At 4:55 PM on June 12th (Vietnam time), the spot gold price was $2,312.9 per ounce, down $6.1 per ounce compared to last night.

The world gold price, converted at the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, is 71 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees).

Thus, compared to world gold prices, each SJC gold bar is currently 5.98 million VND/ounce more expensive than the world price, while the price of SJC gold rings is 3.4 million VND/ounce higher.
