On the afternoon of May 3rd, the My Long Ward Police (Long Xuyen City) announced that they are coordinating with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to continue investigating and handling the case according to the law against Vo Thi Quyen (born in 1969, residing in Cai Doi Hamlet, Phu Tan Commune, Phu Tan District, Ca Mau Province) after she committed the act of stealing gold.

According to initial information, at approximately 11:30 AM on May 3rd, Quyen traveled alone by motorbike from Ca Mau province to the "KS" gold shop (Nguyen Trai Street, My Long Ward, Long Xuyen City) to inquire about purchasing a set of bracelets. The gold shop owner showed Quyen a set of 21 gold bracelets. While examining the bracelets, taking advantage of the gold shop owner's inattention, Quyen quickly stole 5 bracelets (worth over 35 million VND), hid them in her pants pocket, and hastily fled the scene.

After checking the gold rings, the gold shop owner discovered a shortage and chased after Quyen, apprehending her and reporting the incident. Quyen and the stolen goods were then handed over to the My Long Ward Police. At the police station, Quyen admitted to all her violations. It was revealed that Quyen has a prior criminal record for theft.
