This afternoon (February 12th), gasoline prices were adjusted upwards.

In today's price adjustment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance still did not allocate or utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

The decree on petroleum business is expected to be issued in February, amended to empower businesses to regulate prices. Prices will fluctuate according to global developments, with appropriate adjustment cycles. By the end of 2025, the number of active petroleum distribution businesses will be 252. Last year's petroleum consumption was estimated at approximately 26.4 million cubic meters/tons, an increase of 1.85% compared to 2024. Inventory at the end of the year was 1.7 million cubic meters/tons.

This year, the minimum total amount of petroleum products allocated to distributors is 31.7 million cubic meters/tons. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the global political and economic situation remains unpredictable, potentially impacting the supply and price of petroleum products. They are concerned about the possibility of localized shortages. Therefore, the authorities will closely monitor the supply and demand situation and domestic and global gasoline prices. Simultaneously, they will coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to advise the Government on timely solutions.
