Gasoline prices were adjusted upwards for the second consecutive time at 3 PM on August 7th.

Specifically, compared to the previous price adjustment period, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (the most common type on the market) increased by 230 VND, to 20,070 VND/liter. E5 RON 92 also increased by 200 VND, to 19,600 VND/liter.

Conversely, diesel fuel decreased by 260 dong, to 18,800 dong/liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene is priced at 18,660 dong/liter, while fuel oil has increased to 15,640 dong.

This year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has allocated a minimum supply of over 29.5 million cubic meters/tons of various petroleum products to key traders. In the first half of 2025, businesses prepared approximately 13.86 million cubic meters/tons for the domestic market, equivalent to 47% of the plan. However, actual consumption was 12.6 million cubic meters/tons, resulting in an inventory of about 1.7-1.8 million cubic meters/tons.

Currently, the VAT rate on gasoline and diesel is 8%, and will remain in effect until the end of next year, according to a resolution of the National Assembly .
