Gasoline prices were adjusted up for the second consecutive time at 3:00 p.m. on August 7.

Specifically, compared to the previous adjustment period, the price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by VND230, to VND20,070/liter. E5 RON 92 also increased by VND200, to VND19,600/liter.

On the contrary, diesel oil decreased by 260 VND, down to 18,800 VND/liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene was priced at 18,660 VND/liter, and fuel oil increased to 15,640 VND.

This year, the total minimum supply allocated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to key traders is more than 29.5 million m3, tons of various types of gasoline and oil. In the first half of 2025, the supply that businesses prepare for the domestic market is about 13.86 million m3, tons, equivalent to 47% of the plan. However, the actual consumption is 12.6 million m3, tons, so the inventory is about 1.7-1.8 million m3, tons.

Currently, the VAT rate on gasoline is 8%, maintained until the end of next year according to the National Assembly Resolution.
