Solving problems in exploiting minerals as construction materials for highways

Previously, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province reported to the Prime Minister on the results of the implementation of assigned tasks related to the North-South expressway construction project in the East, phase 2021 - 2025, the section passing through Quang Ngai province.

According to the Report of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, the biggest difficulty and obstacle in exploiting minerals for common construction materials is the conversion of land use purposes and forest use purposes that most localities have encountered and are encountering in the process of implementing the North - South Expressway construction project. The reason is that the implementation of these procedures prolongs the implementation time, affecting the overall progress of the project.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province proposed that the Prime Minister consider and direct the Ministries and branches to guide the settlement.

Considering the proposal of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant ministries and agencies to study the recommendations of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, guide relevant localities in implementing the work of converting land use purposes and forest use purposes; amend according to authority or report to competent authorities for consideration and amendment of regulations, promptly remove difficulties and inadequacies; complete in October 2023.
