Phuoc Hoi Temple.

The Ky Yen Festival at Phuoc Hoi Temple takes place on the 15th and 16th of the third lunar month, providing an opportunity for local people to socialize, participate in cultural activities, and express gratitude to the two patron deities, Mr. Pham Van Dien and Mr. Dao Duy Chu – two meritorious officials of the Nguyen dynasty who made significant contributions to protecting the border region and repelling foreign invaders.

Leaders of Duong Minh Chau district participated in the incense offering ceremony to pray for national peace and prosperity at the Ky Yen festival at Phuoc Hoi communal temple.

The festival lasts for two days with many traditional rituals such as: On the 15th day of the 3rd lunar month, a ceremony is held to invite ashes, worship the gods, chant prayers for peace for the people, and hold musical performances and cultural exchanges. In coordination with the Provincial Museum, 20 banners are displayed to introduce the art of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music; on the 16th day of the 3rd lunar month, a ceremony is held to worship the gods, offering prayers for blessings, and concluding with the ceremony of bringing the ashes back to the temple.

After the ceremony concludes, people gather around the feast, sharing delicious dishes prepared by the women. On these days, the temple attracts a large crowd of people who come to light incense, watch the procession of the deities, listen to the recitation of prayers, and express their gratitude to the gods. Everyone comes here to pray for peace and safety for their families, a bountiful harvest for farmers, and prosperity and good fortune for business owners.

With its unique historical and cultural value, in 2003, Phuoc Hoi communal house in Suoi Da commune was recognized by the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province as a provincial-level cultural relic – marking the recognition and preservation of a valuable local heritage.
