Huynh Ha (born in 2001, Song Kon commune) is a Co Tu rapper who started composing music in 2022. He sees music as a means to tell stories about his homeland, the resilient Co Tu people, and the unique and unmistakable pride of their ethnic identity.

His compositions, such as "Ma'nuih Katu" (The Katu People), "How ve broanh" (How Can It Be Enough), and "Rau kieng mon" (What I Want to Say), clearly convey this message. Among them, "Ma'nuih Katu" is considered the most impressive. This is a modern-sounding rap song that tells of national pride, the spirit of hard work, moral values, and aspirations of the Katu people. The song serves both as a self-introduction by Huynh Ha and a message to young people: love your language, culture, roots, and cherish each other more.

Meanwhile, a group of students from FPT University Da Nang are implementing the "Co Tu-Gether" project with the goal of promoting the traditional culture of the Co Tu people in the context of rapidly developing modern media.

The project combines multi-platform communication and hands-on experiential activities, helping young people aged 18 to 24 in Da Nang access Co Tu culture in both digital and real-world settings.

The project is implemented in three main phases: “Sitting Together and Chatting” is a multi-platform communication campaign with a series of social media content aimed at introducing cultural characteristics such as traditional crafts, art, and cuisine of the Co Tu people through trends easily accessible to young people. This includes design images and visually engaging short videos; “Together We Explore the Village” focuses on the premiere of music videos and organizing events to experience the Co Tu cultural space; “Together We Bring Stories Home” launches the project's official website, introduces Co Tu cultural materials, and expands the reach and dissemination of information to the public.

Nguyen Thi Phuong Na, head of the "Co Tu-Gether" project, expressed: "The group aims to create a bridge between the traditional culture of the Co Tu people and the younger generation in the digital age. Therefore, the project strives to combine modern media with the most authentic experiences in the villages to create a ripple effect and collectively preserve the traditional culture of the highlands."

Mr. Alang Nhu, Director of the Ta Lang - Gian Bi Community Tourism Cooperative (Hai Van Ward), said: “The “Co Tu-Gether” project not only helps to honor and preserve the cultural identity of the Co Tu ethnic group, but also opens up opportunities to promote it to friends both domestically and internationally. I hope that more units, projects, and organizations will join hands, creating momentum for sustainable development, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of indigenous culture in the face of the risk of extinction.”
