Mr. Doan Thanh Cong, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Youth Union and Children's Affairs Department of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: To ensure smooth operation of the Youth Union and youth movement after the reorganization, immediately after the district and city Youth Unions completed their tasks, the Provincial Youth Union advised on the completion of the executive committee, standing committee, inspection committee and key positions at 65 new commune and ward Youth Unions and 5 affiliated units. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union actively organized classes to improve skills and expertise for Youth Union officials as well as brought programs to the grassroots level to keep the volunteer movement going smoothly.
Identifying the improvement of the capacity of grassroots union cadres as a key task, the Provincial Youth Union has increased training and professional guidance. Training courses on union - association - team work skills are held regularly with the support of experienced union cadres. At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union also promotes the application of digital technology , provides a unified form system and maintains 24/7 online exchange groups, helping commune-level union cadres promptly resolve problems, consolidate skills and be more proactive in advising and organizing activities.
Not only stopping at skills training, the Provincial Youth Union also directly brings volunteer programs to the grassroots. Commune Youth Union cadres are able to participate in practice, observe how to organize, handle situations and mobilize union members and youth in a large area. Every time an activity is deployed in a commune, Youth Union cadres from neighboring communes are invited to participate, creating conditions for mutual learning, thereby improving the capacity to organize the movement. Along with that, the "3 links" model (linking forces, linking localities and linking communities) promotes practical effectiveness, ensuring synchronous coordination and maintaining a continuous flow of volunteer activities from the province to the grassroots.
Mr. On Van Tuyen, Secretary of Chau Son Commune Youth Union, said: Chau Son was merged from 5 administrative units. The large area and scattered youth made the initial work difficult. Through training and guidance from the Central Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union, I have mastered the necessary skills in managing union members, youth and organizing activities. From July 2025 to now, the commune youth union has organized 5 Green Sundays and Volunteer Saturdays, attracting over 100 union members and youth to participate.
With the experience and skills they have acquired, grassroots union officials have quickly adapted to new requirements, proactively applied technology, digital transformation in union member management, organized propaganda activities; flexibly mobilized resources and built movements suitable to the conditions of the unit. As soon as the two-level local government model came into operation, the grassroots union deployed 71 volunteer teams with 3,400 union members and young people participating in supporting more than 65,000 party members and people in carrying out administrative procedures and using digital applications. At the same time, the volunteer movement has been deployed continuously, synchronously and effectively. Since the beginning of 2025, all levels of the union have organized more than 300 youth projects and tasks. The total mobilized resources to implement programs are worth over 5 billion VND, attracting thousands of union members and young people to participate.
Mrs. Tran Thi Moc, Goc Sau village, Thien Tan commune said: Storm No. 11 completely collapsed my family's house. During that difficult time, the Youth Union members promptly showed up to support money, medicine, and basic necessities for daily life. Thereby, helping my family overcome difficulties, quickly stabilize life to overcome the consequences after the storm.
With the spirit of vanguard, ready to take on new and difficult tasks, we believe that in the coming time, grassroots union cadres will continue to make positive contributions to the youth movement as well as the economic and social development in the locality.
