The devastating floods spared no one. Houses collapsed, fields were destroyed, and a lifetime's worth of accumulated wealth was swept away by the water. In this dire situation, the entire nation turned its attention to the flood-stricken areas with everything it could.
There are those who, with their youth, experience, and even their lives, plunge into the raging waters to rescue people. Military and police officers, local emergency response forces… silently put on life jackets, boarded boats, clung to ropes, and swam amidst the fierce floodwaters. They knew the dangers ahead, but they still went to save people, to save their fellow countrymen.
There are rescue missions where every stroke of the oar is a gamble with death.
Some people, exhausted and injured, still tried their best to ensure the safety of the people. Such genuine feelings, stemming from the heart, are truly precious and immeasurable, but they will forever be etched in the hearts of the people in the flooded areas.

Alongside the flood relief efforts, there was an unending flow of sharing. From cities to rural areas, from the lowlands to the highlands, countless vehicles carrying instant noodles, dried food, rice, clean water, clothes, medicine, school supplies, and more—all stemming from love and concern for their fellow citizens.
The gifts delivered to the flood-stricken areas were not ostentatious or flashy, but incredibly practical. The floods swept away everything, so in the early days of relief efforts, people thought of clothing, underwear, and personal hygiene products for women – seemingly small, private items of daily life – which became incredibly precious. It was this thoughtfulness and understanding that gave depth to the compassion shown.
Even more commendable is that it's not just unaffected areas that are helping the flood-stricken regions. Even people in areas that have just been battling storms and floods, such as Thai Nguyen, Hue, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and those still deeply submerged for many days in western Dak Lak like Yang Mao, Cu Pui, Krong Bong, Krong Ana, etc., are still carefully saving and donating whatever they can to the flood-stricken areas.
After the floods receded, the difficulties became clearer and more severe: damaged vehicles, unusable household appliances, disrupted livelihoods, and post-flood diseases. At this time, the spirit of "it's not just what you give, but how you give" became even more evident. Many organizations and volunteer groups went to the affected areas to repair motorbikes and household appliances for free, provide medical care, and help people quickly stabilize their lives and find ways to make a living.

The relief supplies gradually shifted from "famine relief" to "recovery." These included plant seeds, vegetables, livestock, and poultry – new life being sown on land that had just suffered devastation. Hero of the People's Armed Forces Ho Dac Thanh, former captain of the "No Number" ship, who participated in the relief effort with the Phu Yen Association in Ho Chi Minh City, donated money, cattle, and chicken breeds to the people. He shared: "We give a fish when people are hungry and a fishing rod when they have overcome the hardship, so that the people in the flood-stricken areas can stand up and start over."
This outpouring of solidarity extends beyond national borders. Vietnamese expatriates abroad continue to follow every news report and image from their homeland. Donations from the overseas Vietnamese community have been promptly sent back, contributing additional resources to help their compatriots overcome hardship.
The concept of "national solidarity" originates from the very soul of the Vietnamese people. It is the moral manifesto of the Vietnamese nation, fostering a spirit of brotherhood, unity, and compassion, helping the nation overcome natural disasters, wars, and all challenges.
