Besides focusing on developing her family's economy , Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Nguyen (Hoa Phu commune, Chau Thanh district, Long An province) is also known for her sociable nature and active participation in local charitable movements. She shared that, learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example of compassion for humanity, she wishes to help those in difficult circumstances; seeing them happy brings her joy as well.

Besides her business, for the past 15 years, she has actively participated in local activities, including serving as the head of the Farmers' Association branch in the hamlet for 11 years and being involved with the Women's Association branch in Hamlet 1 for 4 years.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Nguyen (sixth from the left, Hoa Phu commune, Chau Thanh district) was commended by the Provincial Women's Union as an exemplary female member for her active participation and contributions to the Union's work and the women's movement in the province during the period 2021-2024.

Locally, Ms. Nguyen is known as an enthusiastic and responsible Women's Union official. In particular, she is dedicated to caring for the poor and those in difficult circumstances through practical activities. From the beginning of 2025 until now, Ms. Nguyen has mobilized and donated 20 million VND to two households in difficult circumstances suffering from serious illnesses.

“Over the past few years, I’ve traveled and interacted with many people in difficult circumstances, so I empathize and want to do something to help them. I know that I can’t support everyone on my own, so I collaborate with philanthropists to mobilize and call for support from many people. Whenever I connect with philanthropists, I only act as a ‘bridge’ and don’t directly receive money to build trust with donors. For each case in need, I report truthfully and objectively, and the philanthropists will directly support the family. Currently, I am working to build a shelter for a disadvantaged family in the commune,” Ms. Nguyen shared.

To ensure that funds reach the intended recipients, before each case, Ms. Nguyen usually conducts a field survey with the local authorities, then sends all the information to the benefactor, who will directly transfer the financial support to the family. Because of her dedication, responsibility, and transparency in her work, Ms. Nguyen always receives the trust of benefactors.

Beyond simply raising funds to help people in difficult circumstances, her journey of compassion is further extended through her active participation in donating free meals on the 14th day of the lunar month at Hoa Phu market.

Through her meaningful actions, Ms. Nguyen has contributed to the local government, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations in effectively carrying out social welfare work , caring for the poor and those in difficult circumstances, helping them to improve their lives. Above all, she has helped to foster a spirit of mutual support and compassion among cadres, members, women, and citizens in the area. This is also something Ms. Nguyen learned from studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style regarding economic development coupled with social progress and equity, with the spirit of " leaving no one behind ."
