Within the framework of the 2nd "MADE BY VIETNAM DAY - Vietnamese Brand Milestone" announcement ceremony in 2026, the Q&A session between representatives of the Organizing Committee, professional units, and the business community focused on practical issues. Specifically, how can foreign businesses participate in the program? What preparations do Vietnamese brands need when entering the international market? And which business groups will The Future Brand support this year?

The organizing committee and partner organizations performed the ceremony to activate the online nomination and voting portal.
One of the key concerns for businesses is the potential participation of foreign companies in the Made By Vietnam Day ecosystem. Responding to this question, Ms. Ho Thi Quyen, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center (ITPC), stated that international businesses are not eligible to participate as Vietnamese brands in The Future Brand competition. However, the program still offers opportunities for collaboration in suitable roles such as providing experts, participating in training, facilitating business connections, showcasing solutions, or introducing products and services to support Vietnamese businesses.
Furthermore, Ms. Ho Thi Quyen also expressed that, as a business support unit in Ho Chi Minh City, ITPC is ready to support businesses that need to access the Vietnamese market by providing information, connecting them with contacts, and offering advice within its functional scope. This approach shows that Made By Vietnam Day is an open space for Vietnamese businesses to meet experts, partners, and market resources.

Journalist Cao Anh Minh - General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station (HTV) delivered the opening speech at the announcement ceremony.
Furthermore, regarding intellectual property protection, Mr. Tran Giang Khue, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Representative Office of the Intellectual Property Office under the Ministry of Science and Technology, noted that businesses need to proactively review their industrial property rights, from trademarks, designs, and inventions to brand identity elements. When planning to export or expand into foreign markets, businesses should register for protection early in target markets to avoid situations where products are known but brand ownership is not fully established. They should also strengthen connections with management agencies to receive information, advice, and risk management support.
According to Mr. Tran Giang Khue, "Businesses should not view intellectual property protection as a final procedure, but rather as an integral part of their brand development strategy. Regularly connecting with regulatory agencies, trade promotion units, and consulting organizations will provide businesses with more information about the market, registration procedures, and legal risks when exporting products abroad."

Following on from the first season, this year's event, themed "Unleashing the Current - Accelerating Growth," celebrates the spirit of self-reliance, innovation, and the ability of Vietnamese businesses to master their own values. The series of events officially takes place from August 6th to 8th, 2026, connecting two locations: the Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Theater in Saigon Ward and the International Innovation Exhibition Space at the North Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology City, Binh Duong Ward.

Ms. Ho Thi Quyen, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center (ITPC), shared the orientation for supporting young businesses in building brands linked to the market.
In addition, Mr. Pham Binh An, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies (HIDS), emphasized: "'Made by Vietnam' has the mission of promoting Vietnamese people to master core technologies, design independently, and increase the domestic added value to overcome the low-value processing model. In-depth workshops on Green and Digital will be conducted in English, targeting overseas Vietnamese businesses and the international public, transforming the program into a practical launching pad for small and medium-sized enterprises to master resources in capital, technology, and markets."

Mr. Pham Binh An, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies (HIDS), emphasized the model of connecting two event spaces, from the HTV stage to the international exhibition area.
Regarding the inter-regional cooperation component, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thang - Vice President of the Vietnam Digital Communication Association - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association affirmed: "Through major international cooperation institutions such as Fraunhofer ENAS (Germany) or A*STAR ARTC (Singapore), accompanying the Made by Vietnam Day 2026 exhibition space will create a sufficiently good practical environment for strategic technology products and solutions owned by Vietnamese people to have the opportunity to be born, tested, and confidently reach the world."

According to Ms. Ho Thi Quyen, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center: "'The Future Brand 2026' is oriented as a program to accelerate brand capabilities, helping businesses perfect their strategic thinking, brand story, communication capabilities, digital transformation, e-commerce, and market connectivity."

From the discussions in the Q&A session, it is clear that MADE BY VIETNAM DAY 2026 focuses on substance: supporting Vietnamese businesses not only to appear in the public eye, but also to enhance their legal, market, communication, and networking capabilities to gradually expand their reach.
