Driven by a desire to spread positive images of sports to the community, Mr. Ngo Dinh Tuan (born in 1980), residing in Ward 8, Gio Linh town, Gio Linh district, established the "Xom Lang TV" media channel, specializing in organizing sports and cultural events; producing images and videos for sports competitions; livestreaming; and providing consulting services for organizing tournaments. The channel currently has tens of thousands of followers and has achieved a positive impact. Furthermore, Mr. Tuan is deeply committed to local sports activities; he regularly supports and sponsors numerous events and tournaments in Gio Linh, Trieu Phong, Dakrong districts, Dong Ha city, and other areas, contributing to the development of grassroots sports.
From passion
"Xóm làng TV" has become one of the top choices for sports enthusiasts in Quang Tri whenever they want to follow or update news about tournaments both within and outside the province. The "Xóm làng TV" fanpage currently has 22,000 followers and 11,500 likes, regularly posting high-quality images and livestreams to the community. This is the result of a passion for sports nurtured over many years, coupled with a determination to learn and improve in his work, and the efforts to overcome many difficulties by Mr. Tuan.

“I’m a sports enthusiast, especially passionate about football. I once formed a team called Huy Tuan that was quite successful in many amateur football tournaments. Four years ago, during a local amateur football tournament, I and the organizing committee really wanted to hire a livestreaming team to spread the word about the event, but we couldn’t find anyone. At that time, in Quang Tri province, some individuals were commenting on and livestreaming sports events, but because there were so few, they couldn’t meet the demand. That’s why I conceived the idea of forming a football livestreaming team,” Tuan recounted.
Having attended a vocational school specializing in networking and computers, and working in the IT industry, Tuan has a good understanding of information technology. He decided to take action, starting by taking photos and livestreaming matches in tournaments he organized himself. First, Tuan researched livestreaming software and learned how to use it proficiently. Then, he spent a lot of time online researching and browsing forums for guidance on choosing the right equipment and configuration.
He said: "Even though I work in the IT industry, livestreaming was really new to me at the time. 'Live streaming' sounds easy, like anyone can do it with just a smartphone and social media, but in reality, it's not like that. To get high-quality, clear, and uninterrupted images, choosing equipment such as cameras, connection devices, audio equipment, internet connection... all require knowledge and experience."
With the belief that good work spreads to many people, Tuan always strives to learn and gain more knowledge; he tried his hand at livestreaming amateur football matches and listened to feedback from viewers. In June 2022, the "Xom Lang TV" channel was officially established with a livestreaming team of 4 members, equipped with 1 video camera and 1 still camera. This was also the beginning and a source of motivation for Tuan to continue pursuing his passion and bringing even more beautiful images to the community.
Establishing a "brand"
In the early days of building their media channel, even though they had gained some recognition, Tuan and the members of his livestreaming team still faced many difficulties. The limited investment in equipment meant they couldn't compete with other media teams.
On the other hand, at the time the "Xóm làng TV" channel was launched, there were already quite a few sports media channels established in Quang Tri. Concerned about how to improve quality and reach a wider audience, Mr. Tuan always took the time to listen to feedback from viewers, colleagues, and those who had been in the industry for a long time.
“After each livestream, all four members of the team sit down and read every comment, selecting positive feedback to make corrections, learn from experience, and work more meticulously. Aiming for professionalism and to better serve the diverse needs of the audience, I also independently researched and developed my own software tool to support the work,” Tuan said.

Tuan's passion and dedication to his work have paid off, as his media channel has gained increasing recognition. To better serve the needs of the people, he has expanded his services to include consulting on organizing tournaments for various sports; livestreaming important events and celebrations in his hometown; providing free support to localities in Gio Linh district in filming and editing videos after each sporting event; and writing analytical articles and commentary on the sporting events he livestreams.
From initially only livestreaming football matches, "Xóm làng TV" has become a media channel capable of livestreaming and updating news on numerous tournaments such as tennis, volleyball, running, and even cultural events, arts, and traditional festivals in many localities within the province. Mr. Tuan also regularly contacts and connects with leading commentators inside and outside the province to coordinate the complete media coverage for tournaments. Recently, he invested in purchasing 3 new video cameras, 2 still cameras, and hired more staff to support the event media team.
In conversations with us, many residents in Gio Linh district said that, besides his passion for sports, what is most valuable about Mr. Tuan is his heart and affection for his homeland. For many years, even before establishing the "Xom Lang TV" channel, he has always accompanied and supported many grassroots sports events in Gio Linh district; sponsored the livestream for the 30th anniversary celebration of Gio Linh town and many football and volleyball tournaments in Gio Linh town...
In addition, Mr. Tuan is also a sponsor for many sports events in the province, notably: the Quang Tri Provincial U11 Football Tournament, the Quang Tri Provincial 7-a-side Football Championship for the Usnano Cup, the Ward 5 Football Tournament, the Dong Giang Ward Football Tournament, etc.; and provides image and video support for many sports events of agencies and units in the province.
Anh Tuan shared: “With the motto of working together to spread the image of the province's sports to all corners of the country, I and the members of my team are always ready to support the media coverage for our hometown's tournaments. In the future, I will try even harder to improve the quality of the fanpage; explore and learn more new communication methods to make it more attractive and engaging for viewers. I will also focus on the event sector to affirm our 'brand,' while creating more sponsorship resources and providing the best support for sports events in the province.”
